⁴² and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

⁶ All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God's house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king. ⁷ The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to the LORD, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.

⁶ The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to give thanks to the LORD, when David praised by their ministry, saying "For his loving kindness endures for ever." ³ Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet. Praise him with harp and lyre. ⁴ Praise him with tambourine and dancing. Praise him with stringed instruments and flute. ⁵ Praise him with loud cymbals. Praise him with resounding cymbals. ⁶ Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
