⁵⁰ But this is the bread which cometh from heaven, that a man may eat of it, and not die.

¹³ And no one hath ascended to heaven, but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven.

³³ For the bread of God is, he that came down from heaven, and giveth life to the world.

⁴² And they said: Is not this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? And how doth he say: I came down from heaven?

⁵¹ I am the bread of life, who have come down from heaven: and if a man shall eat of this bread, he will live for ever. And the bread which I shall give, is my body, which I give for the life of the world.

⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven: not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; whoever shall eat of this bead, will live for ever.

⁵¹ Verily, verily, I say to you: He that keepeth my word, will never see death.

²⁵ Jesus said to her: I am the consolation, and life. And he that believeth in me, though he should die, will live. ²⁶ And every one that liveth, and believeth in me, will not die for ever. Believest thou this?
