Therfore is my wrath kendled agaynst thys place, and shall not be quenched.

2 Kings 22:19

19 Because thyne hert dyd melt, and thou mekedest thy selfe before me the Lorde, when thou heardest what I spake agaynst thys place, and the enhabiters of the same, howe that it shoulde be destroyed and made acursed, and tarest thy clothes and weptest before me: of that also I haue hearde sayth the Lorde.

Ezra 9:6-7

6 and sayde. My God I am ashamed, and darre not lyfte vp myne eyes vnto the my God: for our wyckednesses are growne ouer our heade, & oure trespaces are waxen greate vnto the heauen. 7 Sence the tyme of oure fathers haue we bene in greate trespace vnto this day, and because of oure wyckednesses haue we and oure kinges ben delyuered into the hand of the kynges of the nacyons, into the swerde, into captyuite, into spoyle, and into confusion of face as it is come to passe thys daye.

Lamentations 2:3-5

In the wrath of his indygnacyon he hath broken all the horne of Israel: he hath withdrawen his ryght hande from the enemye: yee a flame of fyre is kyndled in Iacob, and hath consumed vp all rounde aboute. 4 Daleth. Ie hath bent hys bowe lyke an enemye, he hath fastened his ryght hande as an aduersarye: and euerye thynge that was pleasaunt to se, he hath smyten it downe. He hath poured out hys wrath lyke a fyre, into the tabernacle of the daughter of Syon. 5 He. Lamentations 3:42-45

42 We haue bene dyssemblers, and haue offended, wylt thou therfore not be intreated? 43 Samech. Thou hast couered vs in thy wrath, & persecuted vs, thou hast slayne vs wythout any fauoure. 44 Thou hast hyd thy selfe in a cloude, that oure prayer shulde not go thorow. 45 Thou hast made vs outcastes, and to be despysed amonge the Heathen.

Acts 7:52

52 Whyche of the prophetes haue not your fathers persecuted? And they haue slayne them, which shewed before of the comminge of the iuste whom ye haue nowe betrayed and mordred.
