¹⁴ I my selfe am full certifyed of you my brethren. that ye your selues are full of goodnes and fylled with all knoweledge, and are able to exhorte one another.

⁵ that in all thynges ye are made ryche by hym, in all learnynge and in al knoweledge

¹ To speake of thinges dedicate vnto Idols, we are sure that we all haue knowledge, knowledge maketh a man swel, but loue edyfyeth.

⁷ But euery man hath not knowledge. For some suppose that there is an Idole, vntyll this houre, and eate as of a thinge offered vnto the Idole, and so their consciences beynge yet weake are defyled.

¹⁰ For yf some man se the, whiche hast knowledge, syt at meate in the Idoles temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weake, be boldened to eate those thinges, whiche are offered vnto the Idole?

⁸ To one is geuen thorowe the spirite the vtteraunce of wysdome. To another is geuen the vtteraunce of knowledge by the same spirite.

² And though I could prophecye, and vnderstande all secretes, and all knowledge: yea, yf I had all fayth so that I coulde moue mountaines out of theyr places, and yet had no loue, I were nothing.

⁹ For the fruite of the spirite is in all goodnes, ryghtuousnes and trueth.

⁷ as it becommeth me so to iudge of you al, because I haue you in my herte, and haue you also euerye one companions of grace wyth me, euen in my boundes as I defende and stablishe the Gospel.

¹¹ fylled with the fruites of rightuousnes, which fruites come by Iesus Christ vnto the glory and laude of God.

⁸ whiche also declared vnto vs your loue, whiche ye haue in the spirite. ⁹ For this cause we also, sence the daye we heard of it, haue not ceased prayeng for you, and desiring that ye myght be fulfilled with the knowledge of his will, in all wysdome, and spiritual vnderstandinge, ¹⁰ that ye mighte walke worthy of the Lorde in all thinges, that please him beyng frutefull in all good workes, and encreasing in the knowledge of God

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteouslye in all wysdome. Teache and exhorte youre owne selues, in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songes, whiche haue fauoure with them, singinge in your hertes to the Lorde.

¹¹ Wherfore comforte your selues together, and edifye one another, euen as ye do.

¹⁴ We desyre you brethren, warne them that are vnruly, comforte the feble minded, forbeare the weake, haue contynuall pacience towarde all men.

⁵ when I call to remembraunce the vnfayned fayth, that is in the, whiche dwelte fyrste in thy graundmother Loys, and in thy mother Eunica: and am assured that it dwelleth in the also.

³ And the elder women lykewyse, that they be in such rayment as becommeth holynes, not false accusars, not geuen to muche drynkynge, but teachers of honest thinges ⁴ to make the yong women sobre mynded, to loue theyr husbandes, to loue their chyldren,

²¹ Trusting in thyne obedyence, I wrote vnto the, knowing, that thou wylt do more then I saye for.

¹² For when as concerneinge the tyme, ye oughte to be teachers, yet haue ye nede agayne, that we teache you the fyrst prynciples of the word of God, and are become such as haue nede of milk and not of stronge meate:

⁹ Neuerthelesse deare frindes, we truste to se better of you, and thynges whiche accompanye saluacyon, though we thus speake.

²⁴ and let vs consyder one another to prouoke vnto loue, and to good workes: ²⁵ and let vs not forsake the feloshyppe that we haue among our selues, as the maner of some is: but let vs exhort one another and that so muche the more, because ye se that the day draweth nye.

⁵ And herunto geue al diligence, in youre fayth, mynyster vertue, and in vertue knowledge, ⁶ and in knowledge temperancie, and in temperauncie, pacience, in pacience, Godlynes, ⁷ in Godlines brotherly kyndnes, in brotherlye kindnes, loue. ⁸ For yf these thinges be amonge you and are plenteous, they wyll make you, that ye neyther shalbe ydle nor vnfruteful in the knowledge of oure Lord Iesu Christe.

¹² Wherfore I wyll not be negligente to put you alwayes in remembraunce of such thynges, though that ye knowe them your selues, and be also stablyshed in the presente trueth.

²¹ I wrote not vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth, but as though ye knewe it, and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth.

²⁰ But ye dearely beloued, edifye your selues in your moste holy faythe, praying in the holye ghost, ²¹ and kepe your selues in the loue of God, lokynge for the mercye of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, vnto eternall lyfe. ²² And haue compassyon of some, separatynge them: ²³ and other saue wyth feare, pullynge them oute of the fyre, and hate the fylthy vesture of the flesh.
