⁷ God is greatly to be feared in the councel of the saintes and to be had in reuerence of al them that are aboute hym.

³ Then Moses sayed vnto Aaron: this is that the Lorde spake saying: I wyl be sanctified in them that come nye me, & before all the people I wil be glorified. And Aaron helde hys peace.

² For the Lord the most hyest is to be feared, and he is the great kyng vpon all the earth.

⁷ Thou art fearful, for who maye abyde in thi sight, when thou art angry? ⁸ When thou lettest thy iudgment be heard from heauen, the earth trembleth and is stil. ⁹ Yea when God aryseth to geue iudgment and to helpe all them that be in aduersyty vpon earth. Selah. ¹⁰ When thou punyshest one man, he muste knowledge that thou arte readye to punyshe other mo. ¹¹ Loke what ye promise vnto the Lord your God, se that, ye kepe it, all ye that be rounde about him: brynge presentes vnto hym that ought to be feared.

² From aboue flakred the Seraphins, whereof euery one had sixe wynges. With twayne eche couered his face, with twayne his fete, & with twayne dyd he flye. ³ They cryed also eche one to other on this maner: holy holy holy, is the Lord of hostes. The whole world is ful of his glory. ⁴ Yea the gestes and dorecheckes moued at their crieng, & the house was ful of smoke. ⁵ Then I sayde: O wo is me. For I was astonished: that I (which am a man of vncleane lippes and dwell amonge people that hath vncleane lyppes also) shulde se the kynge and the Lorde of hostes wyth myne eyes. ⁶ Then flue one of the Seraphins vnto me, hauynge a hote cole in hys hande, whiche he had taken from the aulter wyth the tounges, ⁷ and touched my mouthe, and sayde: lo, thys hath touched my mouth, and thyne vnryghtuousnes is taken awaye, and thy synne forgeuen.

² As for these thynges, my hande had made them all, and they are all created, sayeth the Lorde. Whyche of them shall I then regarde? Euen hym, that is of a lowly troubled spyryte, and standeth in awe of my wordes.

⁷ Who wolde not feare the? Or what Kinge of the Gentyles wolde not obeye the. For amonge all the wyse men of the Gentyles, & in all their kyngdomes, there is none that maye be lickened vnto the.

¹⁰ But the Lorde is a true God, a lyuynge God, and an euerlastinge kyng. Yf he be wroth, the earthe shaketh: all the Gentiles maye not abyde his indygnacyon.

²⁸ And feare ye not them which kil the body, and be not able to kill the soule. But rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule & body into hell.

⁴ I saye vnto you my frendes: Be not afrayde of them that kyll the bodye, and after that haue no more that they can do. ⁵ But I wil shew you whom ye shall feare. Feare hym whiche after he hath kylled, hath power to caste into hell. Yea I saye vnto you, hym feare.

¹¹ And great feare came on al the congregation, and on as manie as hearde it.

²⁸ Wherfore yf we receyue a kingdom which is not moued, we haue grace, wherby we may serue God, and please hym wyth reuerence & Godly feare. ²⁹ For our God is a consumynge fyre.

³ and they songe the songe of Moises the seruaunt of God, & they songe of the lamb, sayinge: Great & maruelous are thy workes Lorde God almighty, iuste & true are thy wayes kynge of sainctes. ⁴ Who shal not feare. O Lorde, & glorify thy name? For thou only arte holy and al Gentyls shal come and worshippe before the for thy iudgementes are made manifeste.
