⁹ They stretche forth their mouthe vnto the heauen, and their tongue goeth thorow the worlde.

¹⁵ Wherfore now lett not Hezekiah deceyue you ether perswade you of thys fashyon, nor yet beleue hym. For as no God amonge so manye nacyons and kyngdomes, was able to rydde hys people out of myne hande & the hande of my fathers: euen so moche lesse shall youre God kepe you oute of myne hande.

¹⁴ They say vnto God: go from vs: we desyre not the knowledge of thy wayes.

⁴ Thou louest to speake al wordes that may do hurte. O thou false tonge.

¹⁵ well, be readye here after, when ye heare the noyse of the trompettes blowe wyth the harpes, shawmes, psalteryes, symphonyes and all the other melodyes: that ye fall doune, and worshyppe the Image whiche I haue made. But yf ye worshyppe it not, ye shall be caste immedyatly into an hote burnynge ouen. Let se, what God is there, that maye delyuer you oute of my handes?

²⁵ He shall subdue thre Kynges, and shal speake wordes against the hyest of all: he shall destroy the saintes of the most hyest, and thincke, that he may chaunge tymes and lawes. They shalbe geuen vnder his power, vntill a time, two tymes, and half a tyme.

⁴ And he woulde not for a whyle. But afterwarde he sayde to hym selfe, though I feare not God, nor care for man,

⁶ and the tonge is fyre, and a worlde of wickednes. So is the tong set among our members, that it defyleth the whole body and setteth a fyre all that we haue of nature, & is it selfe set a fyre euen of hell.

⁶ And he opened hys mouth vnto blasphemy agaynste God, to blaspheme hys name, and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heauen.
