² Myne enemyes treade me dayly vnder their fete, for they be many that proudly fighte agaynste me.

¹ A Psalme of Dauid when he fledde from the face of Absalom. Why are they so many, O Lord that trouble me? a great multytude are they that ryse agaynst me.

² I will be glad, and reioyse in the, yea, my songes wil I make of thy name O thou moost hyest.

¹ Of Dauid. Stryue thou with them, O lord, that stryue with me, fight thou against them that fight against me.

⁵ He shall reward euel vnto myne enemies and in thy trueth shalt thou destroy them.

³ He shal send from heauen, and saue me from the reproue of him that would swalowe my vp. Selah. This shall God sende, for his mercye and faythfulnes sake.

¹ Who so dwelleth vnder the defence of the most hyest, & abydeth vnder the shadowe of the almightye.

¹ A Psalme of the songe for the Sabboth daye. It is a good thynge too geue thankes vnto the Lord, and to synge prayses vnto thy name, O moost hyest.

⁸ But thou Lorde O mooste hyest, abydest worlde without ende.

⁴ The waues of the sea are mightye, & rage horribly: but yet the Lorde that dwelled on hye, is mightier.

¹⁰ All Heathen compassed me round about but in the name of the lorde wyll I destroye them. ¹¹ They kepe me in on euery side, but in the name of the lord, I wyll destroy them. ¹² They came aboute me lyke bees, and wer as hote as the fyre in the thornes, but in the name of the Lorde I wyll destroye them.

¹⁵ For thus sayeth the hye and excellent, euen he that dwelleth in euerlastingnesse, whose name is the holy one. I dwell hye aboue & in the sanctuary, and with him also, that is of a contrite & humble spirite: that I maye heale a troubled mind, & a contrite hert.

¹⁸ O kynge, God the hyest gaue vnto Nabuchodonosor thy father, the dignite of a kynge with worshippe and honoure,

⁶ What acceptable thynge shall I offre vnto the Lord? shall I bowe my knee to the hye God? Shall I come before hym wyth brentoffrynges, and wyth calues of a yeare olde?

²⁵ whiche by the mouth of thy seruaunt Dauid hast said: Why dyd the heathen rage, and the people imagyn vaine thinges. ²⁶ The kinges of the earth stode vp and the rulers came together, againste Lorde and agaynste his Chryste. ²⁷ For of a trueth againste thy holy childe Iesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herode and also Poncius Pilate, with the Gentyls & the people of Israel, gathered them selues together,

¹⁴ For they are the spirites of deuils working miracles to go out vnto the kinges of the earth, & to the whole worlde to gather them to the batayle of the greate daye of God almighty.
