²⁵ I am become a rebuke vnto them, they loke vpon me and shake their heades.

⁴ I coulde speake, as ye do also. But woulde God, that youre soule were in my soules steade: then shoulde I heape vp wordes agaynst you, and shake my heade at you.

⁶ But as for me, I am a worme & no man: a very scorne of men and the outcaste of the people. ⁷ Al they that se me, laugh me to scorne: thei shute out their lippes, & shake their heades.

¹¹ I am become a verye reprofe amonge all myne enemyes, my neyghbours and they of myne owne aquayntaunce are afraied of me they that se me in the streate, conueye them selues fro me. ¹² I am cleane forgotten and oute of mynde as a dead man: I am become lyke a broken vessell. ¹³ For I haue harde the blasphemy of the multytude: euerye man abhorreth me: they haue gathered a councell together agaynste me, and are purposed to take awaye my lyfe.

¹⁵ But in myne aduersitie they reioyse, & gather them together. Yea, the very lame come together agaynste me vnwares, makynge mowes at me, and ceasse not. ¹⁶ With the gredy and scorneful hypocrites they gnasshed vpon me with their teeth.

⁹ For the zele of thyne house hath euen eaten me, and the rebukes of them that rebuked the, is fallen vpon me. ¹⁰ I wepte and chastened my selfe with fastyng, and that was turned to my reprofe. ¹¹ I put on a sacke cloth, and therefore they iested vpon me. ¹² They that sate in the gate, spake agaynste me, & the dronkardes made songes vpon me.

¹⁹ Thou knowest my reprofe, my shame & my dishonoure: myne aduersaries are all in thy sight. ²⁰ The rebuke breaketh my herte, and maketh me heuy: I loke for some to haue pytye vpon me, but ther is no man: and for some to comforte me, but I fynde none.

²² thys is the answere, that the Lorde hath geuen concernynge hym: Despised art thou, & mocked, O daughter of Syon, he hath shaken his head at the, O doughter of Ierusalem.

³⁹ They that passed by, reuyled hym wagginge their heades ⁴⁰ & sayinge: Thou that destroyest the temple of God and buyldest it in thre dayes: saue thy selfe. If thou be the sonne of God: come doune from the crosse.

²⁹ And they that wente by rayled on hym: waggynge their heades and sayinge: A wretche, that destroyest the temple, and buyldest it in thre dayes:

³ For Christe pleased not hym selfe, but as it is writen: The rebukes of them whiche rebuke the, fell on me.

² lokynge vnto Iesus the author and fynysher of our fayth, whiche for the ioye that was set before hym, abode the crosse, and despised the same, and is set doune on the ryght hande of the throne of God.

¹³ Let vs go forth therfore out of the tentes, and suffre rebuke with him.
