Proverbs 6:1 Cross References - Matthew

¹ My son, if thou be suerty for thy neyghboure, thou hast fastened thyne hand wyth another man:

⁹ I wylbe suerty for him, & of my handes requyre him. If I bryng him not to the and set hym before thyne eyes, than let me bere the blame for euer.

³² For I thy seruaunt became suerty for the lad vnto my father and sayde: yf I brynge hym not vnto the agayne. I wyll bere the blame all my lyfe longe. ³³ Nowe therfore let me thy seruaunt byde here for the lad, and be my Lordes bondman: and let the lad goo home with hys brethren.

³ O deliuer me, and set me by the: who shall them be able to thruste my handes together?

¹⁵ He that is suerty for a straunger, hurteth him self: but he that medleth not with suertiship, is sure.

¹⁸ Whoso promyseth by the hande, and is suertye: or another, he is a foole.

¹⁶ Take his garment that is suerty for a straunger, & take a pledge of him for the vnknowen mans sake.

²⁶ Be not thou one of them that bind their hand vpon promyse, and are suerttye: for dett:

¹³ Take hys garmente that is suertye for a straunger, & take a pledge of him for the vnknowne mans sake.

¹⁸ Yf he haue hurte the, or oweth the oughte that laye to my charge. ¹⁹ I Paule haue wryten it wt myne owne hande, I wyll recompence it. So that I do not saye, to the, howe that thou owest vnto me euen thyne owne selfe.

²² And for the cause was Iesus a stablisher of a better testament.
