¹⁴ Euen so shall the knowledge of wysedome be vnto thy soule, as soone as thou hast gotten it. And there is good hope, yea thy hope shall not be in vanyte.

¹⁰ More pleasaunt are they then golde, yea then much fyne golde: sweter then hony and the hony combe. ¹¹ These thy seruaunt kepeth, & for kepynge of them there is great reward.

¹⁰³ O howe swete are thy woordes vnto my throte? Yea, more then hony vnto my mouth.

¹¹¹ Thy testimonyes haue I claymed as myne heritage for euer: and why? thei are the very ioye of my herte.

¹ My sonne, if thou wilt receyue my wordes, & kepe my commaundementes by the, ² that thyne eare may herken vnto wisdome, applie thyne hert then to vnderstanding. ³ For if thou cryest after wysdome, & callest for knowledge: ⁴ if thou sekest after her as after money, & dyggest for her as for treasure: ⁵ then shalt thou vnderstande the feare of the Lord, & fynde the knowlege of God.

¹⁰ If wisdome entre into thyne hert, and thy soule delyte in knowlege:

¹³ Well is hym that findeth wysdome, and opteyneth vnderstandinge, ¹⁴ for the gettinge of it is better then any marchaundise of syluer, and the profet of it is better then golde. ¹⁵ Wysdome is more worth then precyous stones, and all thinges that thou canste desyre, are not to be compared vnto her. ¹⁶ Vpon her righte hande is longe lyfe, and vppon her lefte hande is ryches and honour. ¹⁷ Her wayes are pleasaunte wayes, and al her pathes are peaceable. ¹⁸ She is a tree of lyfe to them that laye holde vpon her, and blessed are they that kepe her fast.

¹⁸ for it is a plesaunt thyng if thou kepe it in thyne hert, and practise it in thy mouth:

¹⁸ for the ende is not yet come & thy pacient abydyng shal not be in vaine.

¹⁶ When I had found thy wordes, I ate them vp gredely: they haue made my herte ioyfull & glad. For I call vpon thy name, O Lorde God of Hostes.

²¹ And Iesus sayde vnto him, if thou wilt be perfecte go and sell that thou haste, and geue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come and folowe me.

²⁵ But who so loketh in the perfecte lawe of lybertye, and contynueth therin (yf he be not a forgetfull hearer, but a doar of the worke) the same shall be happye in hys dede.
