¹ Paul the prysoner of Iesu Christe and brother Timotheus. Vnto Philemon the beloued, & oure healper,

⁹ We are Goddes labourer, ye are Goddes husbandrye ye are Goddes buyldinge.

¹ Paule an Apostle of Iesu Christ by the wyll of God, and brother Timotheus. Vnto the congregation of God, whithe is at Corinthum, with all the sainctes, which are in all Achaia.

¹ For this cause I Paule am in the bondes of Iesu Christ for your sakes, whiche are heathen.

¹ I therfore whiche am in boundes for the Lordes sake, exhorte you, that ye walke worthy of the vocation wherwyth ye are called,

²⁰ wherof I am a messenger in boundes that therin I may speake frely, as it becommeth me to speake.

²⁵ I supposed it necessarye to sende brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in laboure and felow souldier, youre Apostle & my minister at my nedes.

³ Yea, and I beseche the faythfull yockefelowe, helpe the women, whiche laboured wyth me in the Gospell, and with Clemente also, and with other my labour felowes, whose names are in the boke of my lyfe.

¹¹ and Iesus which is called Iustus, which are of the circumcision. These onely are my worke felowes vnto the kyngdome of God, whiche were vnto my consolacion.

² & sente Timotheus our brother and minister of God, and our laboure felowe in the Gospel of Christe, to stablishe you and to comforte you ouer youre fayth,

¹ Paule, Syluanus & Timotheus. Vnto the congregacyon of the Thessalonians, whiche are in God oure father, and in the Lorde Iesus Christe.

⁸ Be not ashamed to testifye oure Lorde, neyther be ashamed of me, whiche am bounde for hys sake: but suffre aduersitye also wyth the Gospell thorowe the power of God, ⁹ yet for loues sake I rather beseche the, thoughe I be as I am euen Paule aged, and now in bondes for Iesu Christes sake.
