⁴⁰ And the Lorde sayd vnto Moses: Nombre all the fyrst borne that are males among the chyldren of Israel, from a moneth olde & aboue and take the nombre of their names.

²⁶ he went & stode in the gate of the hoste & sayde: If any man pertayne vnto the Lord, let him come to me. And all the sonnes of Leui gathered them selues together and came vnto him. ²⁷ And he sayd vnto them, thus sayeth the Lorde of Israel put euery man his swerde by hys syde, and go in and out from gate to gate thorow out the hoste: & slee euery man his brother, euery man his frende and euery man his neighbour. ²⁸ And the chyldren of Leui dyd as Moses had sayde. And there were slayne of the people the same daye, aboute thre thousande men. ²⁹ Then Moyses said: fyl your handes vnto the Lord thys day, euery man vpon hys sonne & vpon his brother: to brynge vpon you a blessyng this day.

¹² behold I haue taken the Leuites from among the children of Israel, for al the fyrstborne that openeth the matrice among the children of Israel, so that the Leuites shall be myne:

¹⁵ Numbre the chyldren of Leuye in the houses of theyr fathers & kinredes, al that are males from a moneth old & aboue.

⁴⁵ take the Leuites for all the fyrstborne of the chyldren of Israell, and the cattel of the Leuites for their cattel: and the Leuites shalbe myne, which am the Lord.

⁶ The Lorde shall cause it to be preached & wrytten amonge the people, that he was borne ther. Selah.

³ Then shall the remnaunt in Syon and the remnaunte at Ierusalem be called holye: namelye all suche as are wrytten amonge the lyuynge at Ierusalem:

²⁰ Neuerthelesse, in thys reioyse not that the spirites are vnder youre power: but reioyse because your names are written in heauen.

³ Yea, and I beseche the faythfull yockefelowe, helpe the women, whiche laboured wyth me in the Gospell, and with Clemente also, and with other my labour felowes, whose names are in the boke of my lyfe.

¹⁹ But the sure grounde of God remayneth, and hath thys seale: the Lord knoweth them that are his, & let euerye man that calleth on the name of Christe departe from iniquitie.

²³ and vnto the congregacyon of the first borne sonnes, which are wrytten in heauen, and to God the iudge of all, and to the spyrytes of iuste and perfecte men,

⁵ He that ouercommeth, shalbe clothed in whyte araye, and I wyll not put out hys name out of the boke of lyfe, and I wyll confesse his name before my father, and before his angels.

⁴ These are they, whiche were not defyled wt women for they are virgins. These folowe the lamb whether so euer goeth. These were redemed from men being the fyrst frutes vnto God & to the lamb,
