⁴ and the manne whose eye is open hath sayed: he hath sayd whych heareth the words of God & seeth the visions of the almyghty, whiche falleth downe: & hys eyes are opened.

¹ After these dedes, the worde of God, came vnto Abram in a vision sayinge: Feare not Abram, I am thy shyld, and thy rewarde shall be exceadynge greate.

¹² And when the sunne was downe, ther fell a slumbre vpon Abram. And loo, feare and greate darckenes came vpon him.

⁶ And he sayed heare my wordes If there be a prophet of the Lordes among you, I wyl shewe my selfe vnto him in a visyon & wyll speake vnto hym in a dreame.

²⁰ And God came vnto Balam by nyghte and sayd vnto hym: If the men come to fette the ryse vp & go wyth them: but what I say vnto the, that onely thou shalt do.

³¹ And the Lord opened the eyes of Balam that he sawe the angel of the Lord standyng in the waye, wyth hys swerd drawen in hys hande. And he bowed him selfe & fel flatt on hys face.

²⁴ And he stripte of hys clothes and prophesyed before Samuel in like maner, & fell naked all the day & all the night wherfore it is a comen sayinge, is Saul also amonge the prophetes?

¹⁹ Thou spakest sometyme in visions vnto thy saynctes, and saydest: I haue layed helpe vpon one that is mighty, I haue exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁸ was lyke a raynbowe, which in a raynye daye appeareth in the cloudes. Euen so was the symylitude, wherin the glory of the Lorde appeared. When I sawe it, I fel vpon my face, and herkened vnto the voyce of him that spake.

¹⁷ So he came, and stode by me. But I was afrayed at his commynge, and fell doune vpon my face. Then he sayde vnto me: O thou sonne of man, marcke well, for in the last tyme shall this vision be fulfylled. ¹⁸ Nowe as he was speakynge vnto me, I waxed faynte, so that I suncke doune to the ground. But he toke hold vpon me, and set me vp agayne,

²⁶ And this vysyon that is shewed vnto the, is as sure as the euenynge & the morninge. Therfore wryte thou vp this sighte, for it wilbe longe, or it come to passe. ²⁷ Vpon this was I Daniel very fainte, so that I lay sicke certayne dayes: but when I rose vp, I wente aboute the kinges busynes, and marueled at the vision, neuertheles no man knewe of it.

¹⁵ Nowe when he had spoken these wordes vnto me, I cast doune my head to the ground and helde my tunge. ¹⁶ Beholde, there touched my lippes one very lyke vnto a man. Then opened I my mouthe, & sayde vnto him, that stode before me: O my Lorde, my pointes are lowsed in the vision, and there is no more strength within me:

¹⁰ Then wexed he an houngred, and woulde haue eaten. But whyle they made ready, he fell into a traunce,

¹⁹ While Peter thoughte on thys vision, the spyryte sayed vnto hym: Beholde men seke the,

¹⁷ And it fortuned when I was come agayn to Ierusalem, and prayde in the temple that I was in a traunce,

¹ It is not expedyent for me (no doubte) to reioyce. Neuerthelesse I wyll come to visions and reuelations of the Lorde. ² I knowe a man in Christe aboue .xiiij. yeares agone (whether he were in the bodye I cannot tell, or whether he were oute of the bodye I cannot tell, God knoweth) whiche was taken vp into the third heauen. ³ And I knowe the same man (whether in the bodye, or oute of the bodye, I cannot tell, God knoweth) ⁴ howe that he was taken vp into paradyse, and hearde wordes not to be spoken, whiche no man can vtter.

¹⁰ I was in the spirite on a sondaye, and hearde behynde me a great voyce, as it had bene of a trompe,

¹⁷ And when I sawe hym, I fell at hys fete, euen as dead. And he layde hys ryght hande vpon me, saiynge vnto me: feare not, I am the fyrste, and the laste,
