⁴¹ And they feared excedynglye, and sayed one to another: What felowe is thys. For both wynde and sea obeye hym.

¹⁸ And when Samuel called vnto the Lorde, the Lorde sent thunder & rayne the same daye. And all the people feared the Lord and Samuel excedynglye. ¹⁹ Then sayde all the people vnto Samuel: praye for thy seruauntes vnto the Lorde thy God, that we dye not: for we haue synned in askyng vs a kynge, besyde all the synnes that euer we dyd. ²⁰ Then sayde Samuel vnto the people: feare not. And thoughe ye haue done all thys wyckednesse yet departe not from the Lord in any case. But serue hym wyth all your hertes.

²⁴ Onelye feare you the Lorde and serue hym truly with all your hertes: for se, he hath done great thynges for you.

¹¹ saying: Hytherto shalt thou come, but no forther, & here shalte thou laye doune thy proude & hye waues.

⁷ God is greatly to be feared in the councel of the saintes and to be had in reuerence of al them that are aboute hym.

⁹ He answered them: I am an Ebreue, and I feare the Lorde God of heauen, whych made both the sea & drye lande. ¹⁰ Then where the men exceadingly afrayed, & sayde vnto hym: why didest thou so? (for they knewe, that he was fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had tolde them)

¹⁵ So they toke Ionas, & cast hym in to the sea, & the sea left ragyng. ¹⁶ And the men feared the Lorde exceadingly, doyng sacrifices and makinge vowes vnto the Lorde.

⁵ I made a couenaunt of life & peace wt hym: this I gaue him, that he might stande in awe of me: & so he did feare me, & had my name in reuerence.

²⁷ And the men maruayled and sayed: what man is this, that both wyndes and sea obey hym?

³² And assone as they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

³³ The woman feared and trembled (for she knew what was done within her) and she came and fell doune before him, and tolde the trueth of euery thinge.

³⁷ and were beyonde measure astonyed, sayinge: He hath done all thinges well, and hath made both the deafe to heare & the domme to speake.

³⁶ And feare come on them all and they spake amonge them selues saiynge what maner of thinge is this? For with authoryte and power he commaundeth the foule spirites, and they come out.

²⁵ And he sayed vnto them: Wher is your faythe? They feared and woundered saiynge one to another, what felowe is this: for he commaundeth both the windes & water, & they obey him?

²⁸ Wherfore yf we receyue a kingdom which is not moued, we haue grace, wherby we may serue God, and please hym wyth reuerence & Godly feare.

⁴ Who shal not feare. O Lorde, & glorify thy name? For thou only arte holy and al Gentyls shal come and worshippe before the for thy iudgementes are made manifeste.
