¹ And he entred agayne into the synagoge, & there was a man there whiche had a wyddred hande.

⁴ And when the kynge hearde the saying of the man of God which he cryed agaynste the aulter in Bethel, he stretched oute hys hande from the aultare, sayinge: holde hym. And hys hande which he put forth towarde hym, dryed vp, that he coulde not pull it in agayne to hym,

⁹ And he departed thence, and went into their synagoge: ¹⁰ and beholde there was a man which had his hande dryed vp. And they axed hym sayinge: is it lawful to heale vpon the saboth dayes? because they myght accuse him. ¹¹ And he sayd vnto them. Which of you wolde it be, if he had a shepe fallen into a pitte on the saboth daye, that woulde not take hym and lyft hym out? ¹² And how muche is a man better then a shepe? Wherfore it is lawful to do a good dede on the saboth dayes. ¹³ Then sayde he to the man: stretch forth thy hande. And he stetched it forth. And it was made whole again lyke vnto the other. ¹⁴ Then the pharyseis went out, and held a counsel against him, how they might destroy hym.

²¹ And they entred into Capernaum: & straight waye on the Saboth dayes, he entred into the synagoge & taught.

⁶ And it fortuned in another saboth also, that he entred into the synagoge and taught. And there was a man whose righthande was dried vp. ⁷ And the scrybes and pharyseis watched him, to see whether he would heale on the saboth daye, that they myght fynde an accusacion against him. ⁸ But he knewe their thoughtes, and sayde to the man which had the withered hande: Rise vp and stande forth in the middes. And he arose and stepped forth. ⁹ Then sayde Iesus vnto them: I wyll axe you a question: Whither is it lawfull on the saboth dayes to do good or to do euyl? to saue lyfe, or for to destroye it? ¹⁰ And he behelde them al in compasse, and sayde vnto the manye: Stretche forth thy hande. And he dyd so: & his hande was restored, and made as whole as the other. ¹¹ And thei were fylled full of madnes, and communed one with another, what they might do to Iesus.

³ in which lay a greate multitude of sycke folke, of blinde halt and withered, waitinge for the mouyng of the water.
