⁴ And it happened, as they were amased thereat. Behold two men stode by them in shinninge vestures.

² And he lyfte vp hys eyes and looked: & lo, thre men stode not farre from him. And when he sawe them, he ran to mete them from the tent dore, & fel to the ground

² And beholde there was a great earthquake. For the aungell of the Lorde descended from heauen: & came & rowled backe the stone from the dore, and sat vpon it. ³ His countenaunce was lyke lyghtnyng, & his raymente whyte as snowe. ⁴ And for feare of him the kepers were astonnied and became as dead men. ⁵ The aungel aunswered & sayd to the women: feare ye not. I knowe that ye seke Iesus, whiche was crucifyed: ⁶ he is not here: he is rysen as he sayd. Come & se the place where the Lord was put,

⁵ And they wente into the sepulchre, and sawe a yonge man syttyng on the ryght syde, clothed in a long white garment, & they were abashed.

¹¹ Mary stode without at the sepulchre wepynge. And as she wepte. she bowed her self, and loked into the sepulchre, ¹² and sawe two angels in whyte sittynge, the one at the heade, & the other at the fete, where they had layde the bodye of Iesus.
