¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall dye for it: all the multitude shall stone him to death. And the straunger as well as the Israelyte if he curse the name, shal dye for it.

⁷ Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vayne, for the Lord wil not hold him giltlesse that taketh his name in vayne.

¹⁰ and set two vnthriftes before him: and let them testifye agaynst hym sayinge: thou dyddest curse bothe God and the king: & vpon that carie him out & stone hym to death. ¹¹ And the elders and nobles of the cities, whiche dwelt in hys citie, did as Iezabell had sent vnto them, and as it was written in the letter, whiche she had sent vnto them. ¹² They proclamed fastynge, and set Naboth an hye amonge the people, ¹³ and there came in two vnthriftye persones and sate before him. And the two vnthriftye persones wytnesseth agaynst Naboth before the people sayinge: Naboth dyd curse God and the kinge. And vpon the they caryed him out of the cytye and stoned him wyth stones to death.

¹⁰ O God, how long shall the aduersary do this dishonoure? how longe shall the enemy blaspheme thy name? for euer?

¹⁸ Remember this, O Lord, how the enemy rebuketh, and howe the folyshe people blaspheme thy name.

²⁰ For they speake vnright of the, thyne enemyes exalte them selfes presumpteously.

³¹ Wherfore I saye vnto you, all maner of synne and blasphemy of forgeuen vnto men: but the blasphemy of the sprete, shall not be forgeuen vnto men.

⁶⁶ what thynke ye? They answered and said: he is worthy to dye.

²⁸ Verely I saye vnto you: al synnes shalbe forgeuen vnto mens children and blaspheme wherwith they blaspheme: ²⁹ But he that blasphemeth the holye ghost, shall neuer haue forgeuenes, but is in daunger of eternal damnacion,

³³ The Iewes aunswered him, saiynge: For thy good workes sake we stone the not, but for thy blasphemye, and because that thou beynge a man, makest thy selfe God. ³⁴ Iesus aunswered them: is it not wrytten in youre lawe. I saye: ye are Goddes? ³⁵ Yf he called them Goddes vnto whom the worde of God was spoken (& the scripture can not be broken) ³⁶ saye ye then to hym, whom the father hath sanctifyed, & sent into the worlde, thou blasphemest, because I sayed. I am the sonne of God?

¹¹ And I punyshed them ofte, in euerye synagoge, and compelled them to blaspheme, and was yet more madde vpon them, and persecuted them euen vnto straunge cities.

¹³ when before I was a blasphemer and persecuter, and a tyraunte. But I obtayned mercye, because I dyd it ignorauntly thorowe vnbelefe.
