⁶⁵ And he sayde: therfore said I vnto you that no man cometh vnto me, except it were geuen vnto him of my father.

²⁷ Iohn aunswered, and sayed: a man can receiue nothing at al except it be geuen him from heauen.

³⁷ All that the father geueth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me, I cast not awaye.

⁴⁴ No man can come to me: except the father which hath sent me drawe him. And I wyll rayse him vp at the laste day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophetes: that they shalbe al taught of God. Euery man therfore thath hath heard and hath learned of the father commeth vnto me.

¹⁶ and other shepe I haue whiche are not of thys folde. Them also muste I brynge that they maye heare my voyce, and that there maye be one flocke, and one shepeherde.

²⁶ But ye beleue not because ye are not of my shepe. As I said vnto you: ²⁷ my shepe heare my voice, & I know them, and they folowe me,

³⁷ And though he had done so many myracles before them, yet beleued not they on hym, ³⁸ that the saiynge of Esayas the Prophete myght be fulfylled, that he spake. Lorde, who shall beleue our saiyng? And to whome is the arme of the Lorde opened? ³⁹ Therfore coulde they not beleue, because that Esayas sayth agayne: ⁴⁰ he hath blynded theyr eyes and hardened theyr hertes, that they shoulde not se with theyr eyes, and vnderstand with theyr hertes, and shoulde be conuerted, and I shoulde heale them. ⁴¹ Such thynges said Esayas when he sawe hys glorye, and spake of hym.

⁸ For by grace are ye made safe thorowe fayth, and that not of youre selues. For it is the gyfte of God, ⁹ and commeth not of workes, leste anye man should bost him selfe.

²⁹ For vnto you it is geuen, that not onely ye should beleue on Christ, but also suffre for his sake,

¹⁴ Neuerthelater the grace of oure Lorde was more aboundaunt wyth fayth and loue whiche is in Christ Iesu.

²⁵ the euyll in meakenes, and can informe them that resiste: yf that God at any tyme wyll geue them repentaunce for to know the trueth,

³ For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another. ⁴ But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered, ⁵ not of the dedes of rightuousnes, which we wrought but of hys mercy he saued vs, by the fountayne of the newe byrth, & with the renuyng of the holye ghost, ⁶ which he shed on vs aboundauntly, thorowe Iesus Christe oure sauyoure, ⁷ that we ones iustifyed by hys grace, shoulde be heyres of eternall lyfe, thorow hope.

² lokynge vnto Iesus the author and fynysher of our fayth, whiche for the ioye that was set before hym, abode the crosse, and despised the same, and is set doune on the ryght hande of the throne of God.

¹⁶ Erre not my deare brethren. ¹⁷ Euery good gyfte, and euerye perfecte gyfte, is from aboue and commeth doune from the father of lyght wyth whome is no varyablenes, neyther is he chaunged vnto darkenes. ¹⁸ Of hys owne wyll begat he vs wyth the worde of lyfe, that we shoulde be the fyrste frutes of hys creatures.
