¹⁴ If he breake downe a thinge, who can set it vp agayne? If he shut a thing, who wyll open it?

¹¹ My dayes are past, my thoughtes are vanyshed awaye, whych haue vexed myne herte,

¹⁵ What helpeth then my longe taryenge? Or, who wyll fulfyll the thynge, that I loke for?

²⁰ O that all compassion vpon them were forgotten: that their dayntyes were wormes, that they were cleane put oute of remembraunce, & vtterly hewen doune lyke an vnfrutefull tree.

¹¹ My dayes are gone lyke a shadowe, and I am wythered lyke grasse.

The Lorde is become lyke as it were an enemye, he hath cast downe Israell & all hys places: yee all his stronge holdes hath he destroyed, & fylled the daughter of Iuda wyth moch sorow and heuynesse. ⁶ Vau. The Lorde hath brought it so to passe, that the hye solempne feastes & Sabbathes in Sion, are cleane forgotten. In his heuy displeasure hath he made the kynge and prestes to be despysed.

⁸ We are troubled on euerye syde, yet are we not withoute shyfte. We are in pouerte, but not vtterlye withoute some what. ⁹ We are persecuted, but are not forsaken. We are caste doune, neuerthelesse we peryshe not.
