¹ O Lorde, thou arte my God, I wil praise the, & magnifie thy name. For thou bryngest maruelous thinges to passe, accordinge to thyne olde councels, truly & stedfastly.

² The Lorde is my strength & my songe, and is become my saluacion. He is my God and I wyll glorifie hym, he is my fathers God and I wyll lyfte hym vp an hye.

¹⁹ The Lorde is not a man, that he can lye, neither the sonne of man that he can repente: should he saye and not do, or shoulde he speake and not make it good?

¹⁰ And Dauid blessed the Lorde before all the congregacyon and sayde: Blessed arte thou Lorde God of Israel oure father, from euer and for euer. ¹¹ Thyne (O Lorde) is greatenesse, power glorye, vyctorye and prayse: for all that is in heauen and in earthe is thyne, and thyne is the kyngedome (O Lorde) and thou arte lyfte vp an head aboue all. ¹² And rychesse and honoure come of the, and thou raygnest ouer all, and in thyne hande is power and strengthe, and in thyne hande it is to make greate, and to geue strengthe vnto all. ¹³ And nowe oure God, we thanke the, and prayse thy gloryous name. ¹⁴ For what am I? and what is my people? that we shulde obtayne strengthe to be so wyllynge? But all is of the, and of that we receyued of thyne hand we haue geuen the. ¹⁵ For we be but straungers before the and tenauntes, as were all oure fathers. Oure dayes on the earth is but a shadowe, and there is none abydynge. ¹⁶ O Lorde oure God, all thys kepe that we haue prepared to buylde the an house for thy holy name, cometh of thyne hande, & is all thyne. ¹⁷ I wote my God, that thou prouest the herte, and hast pleasure in playnesse. And in playnesse of myne herte I haue wyllynglye geuen all thys. And now I se thy people whiche are here in gladnesse, to offer wyllyngly to the. ¹⁸ O Lorde God of Abraham, Isaac and of Israell oure fathers, kepe thys for euer in the ymaginacion of the thoughtes of the herte of thy people, & prepare theyr hertes vnto the. ¹⁹ And geue vnto Salomon my sonne, a pure herte to kepe thy commaundementes, thy testimonyes & thyne ordinaunces, and to do all, and to buylde the house whiche I entended. ²⁰ And Dauid sayde to all the congregacion: blesse the Lorde youre God. And all the congregacyon blessed the Lorde God of theyr fathers, & stouped & bowed them selues vnto the Lorde, & to the Kynge.

¹⁰ The Lorde bryngeth the counsayl of the Heythen to naught, and turneth the deuyces of the people. ¹¹ But the counsayll of the Lorde endureth, and the thoughtes of his herte from generacion to generacion.

⁵ O Lorde my God, greate are thy wonderous worckes whiche thou haste done: and in thy thoughtes toward vs there maye none be likened vnto the. I wold declare them, and speake of them: but they are so manye, that they can not be tolde.

¹⁰ Be styll then and confesse that I am God I will be exalted amonge the Heythen, and I will be exalted vpon earth.

⁴ That we shoulde not hyde them from the chyldren of the generations to come: but to shewe the honoure of the Lorde, hys myghte and wonderfull worckes that he hath done.

¹ A Psalme. O synge vnto the Lorde a new song, for he hath done maruelous thynges. With hys owne ryght hande and with his holy arme hathe he gotten the victory.

⁵ O magnyfy the Lorde oure God, fal down before his fote stole, for he is holye.

⁸ O that men wolde praise the goodnesse of the Lorde, and the wonders that he doth for the chyldren of men. ⁹ For he satisfied the empty soule, & fylled the hungry soule with good. ¹⁰ Such as sat in darkenesse and in the shadow of death, beyng fast bounde in mysery and yron. ¹¹ Because they were not obedient to the commaundementes of God, but lightely regarded the counsayll of the moost hyghest. ¹² Their hert was vexed with labour, they fel doune, and there was none to helpe them. ¹³ So they cryed vnto the LORD in their trouble, and he deliuered them oute of theyr dystresse. ¹⁴ He brought them out of darkenesse & oute of the shadow of death, & brake their bondes in sonder. ¹⁵ O that men wolde prayse the goodnesse of the Lord, and the wonders that he doth for the chyldren of men. ¹⁶ For he hath broken the gates of brasse, and smytten the barres of yron in sonder. ¹⁷ Folysh men were plaged for their offence and because of their wickednesse. ¹⁸ Their soule abhorred all maner of meate, they were euen harde at deaths dore. ¹⁹ So they cryed vnto the Lorde in their trouble, and he deliuered them oute of theyr distresse. ²⁰ He sent hys worde and healed them, and saued them from destruccion. ²¹ O that men woulde prayse the goodnesse of the Lord, and the wonders that he doth for the chyldren of men. ²² That they wolde offre vnto him the sacrifice of thankesgeuyng, & tell out hys workes with gladnes. ²³ They that go doune to the sea in shippes, and occupy their businesse in great waters. ²⁴ These men se the workes of the Lorde, & his wonders in the deape. ²⁵ For at his worde, the stormy winde aryseth, and lifteth vp the waues therof. ²⁶ They are caryed vp to the heauen, & doun agayne too the deape, their soule melteth awaye in the trouble. ²⁷ They rele to and fro, they stacker lyke a droncken man, and are at their wittes ende. ²⁸ So they crye vnto the Lorde in their trouble, and he delyuereth them oute of their distresse. ²⁹ He maketh the storme to ceasse, so that the waues are styll. ³⁰ Then are they glad because they be at rest & so he bringeth them vnto the hauen, where they wolde be. ³¹ O that men wolde prayse the goodnes of the Lorde, and the wondres that he doth for the chyldren of men. ³² That they wolde exalte him in the congregacion of the people, & loane hym in the seate of the elders. ³³ Which turneth the floudes into drye land, and drieth vp the water sprynges. ³⁴ A frutefull lande maketh he baren, for the wickednesse of them that dwell therin. ³⁵ Agayn, he maketh the wildernes a standinge water, and water springes of a drye grounde. ³⁶ There he setteth the hongrye, that they maye buylde them a cytye to dwell in. ³⁷ That they may sow their grounde, plante vyneyardes, to yelde them frutes of increase. ³⁸ He blesseth them, so that they multiplye excedingly, and suffreth not their cattel to decrease. ³⁹ When they are minished & brought lowe thorowe oppression, thorowe any plage or trouble. ⁴⁰ Though he suffre them to be euell intreated thorow tyrauntes, or lette them wandre out of the waye in the wildernesse. ⁴¹ Yet helpeth he the poore out of misery (at the last) and maket hym an housholde lyke a flocke of shepe. ⁴² The righteous will considre this & reioyse, the mouth of all wyckednesse shalbe stopped. ⁴³ Who so is wyse, & pondreth these thynges well, shal vnderstande the louyng kyndnesses of the Lorde.

⁴ The mercyfull and gracyous Lord hath so done his maruelous workes, that they ought to be had in remembraunce.

²⁸ Thou art my God, and I wil thancke the: thou art my God, and I wyll prayse the.

¹ A prayse of Dauid. I wyll magnifie the, O God my kyng, I wil prayse thy name for euer & euer.

² whyle I lyue will I prayse the Lorde: yea, as longe as I haue any beyng, I will sing prayses vnto my God.

¹³ O Lord oure God thoughe soith Lordes haue domynacyon vpon vs as knowe not the: yet graunt that we maye hope onelye in the, and kepe thy name in remembraunce.

²⁹ This and suche lyke thynges come of the Lorde of Hostes whiche is maruelous in councell, and greate in ryghtuousnesse.

¹⁰ In the beginning of a thynge, I shewe the ende therof: & I tell before, thynges that are not yet come to passe. With one worde is my deuyce accomplyshed, & fulfylleth all my pleasure.

¹⁰ And therfore I am ioyful in the Lorde, and my soule reioyseth in my God. For he shall put vpon me the garment of health, & couer me with the mantle of righteousnes. He shal decke me lyke a brydegrom, and as a bryde that hath her apparell vpon her.

¹⁷ O Lorde God, it is thou that hast made heauen and earthe wyth thy greate power, and hye arme, and there is nothinge to harde for the. ¹⁸ Thou shewest mercy vpon thousandes, thou recompencest the wickednes of the fathers, into the bosume of the children, that come after them. ¹⁹ Thou art the greate and myghtie God, whose name is the Lorde of Hostes, greate in counsel, and infinite in thought. Thine eyes loke vpon all the wayes of mens chyldren, to rewarde euery one after his waye, and according to the frutes of his inuencyons. ²⁰ Thou hast done greate tokens and wonders in the lande of Egipt (as we se this daye) vpon the people of Israel, and vpon those men: to make thy name greate, as it is come to passe this daye. ²¹ Thou hast brought thy people Israell out of the land of Egipt, with tokens, wt wondres, with a mightye hande, with a stretched out arme, and with greate terriblenes: ²² & hast geuen them this lande, lyke as thou hast promysed vnto their fathers: Namely, that thou wouldest geue them a land, that floweth with mylcke and honye. ²³ Now when they came therin, and possessed it, they folowed not thy voyce, and walcked not in thy law: but all that thou commaundedest them to do, that haue they not done, & therfore come al these plages vpon them. ²⁴ Behold, there are bullworckes made now against the citie, to take it: and it shabe wonne of the Caldees that besege it, with swerde, wt honger and death, and loke what thou haste spoken, that same shall come vpon them. For lo, all thinges are present vnto the:

¹⁷ Thus sayeth the Lord God: Thou art he, of whom I haue spoken afore tyme, by my seruauntes the prophetes of Israell, whyche prophecyed in those dayes and yeares, that I shulde brynge the vpon them. ¹⁸ At the same tyme, when Gog commeth vp in to the lande of Israell (sayeth the Lorde God) shall my indygnacyon go forth in my wrath. ¹⁹ For in my gelousy and hote dyspleasure I haue deuysed, that there shalbe a greate trouble in the land of Israel at that tyme. ²⁰ The very fishes in the sea, the foules of the ayre, the beastes of the felde, and al the men that are vpon the earth, shall tremble for feare of me. The hilles also shalbe turned vp syde downe, the stayres of stone shall fall, & all walles shall syncke to the grounde. ²¹ I wyll call for a swearde vpon them in all my mountaynes, sayeth the Lorde God: so that euerye mans swearde shall be vpon another. ²² Wyth pestylence and bloude will I punysh hym: stormy rayne & hayle stones, fyre & brimstone, wyl I cause to rayne vpon him & all his heape yee & vpon al that greate people that is with hym. ²³ Thus wyll I be magnifyed, honoured, and knowne amonge the Heathen: that they maye be sure, how that I am the Lorde.

² I thoughte it good to shew the tokens and meruelous worckes, that the hye God hath wrought vpon me. ³ O how greate are hys tokens, and howe myghtie are hys wonders? His kyngedome is an euerlastynge kyngedome, and hys power lasteth for euer & euer.

²⁵ I woulde not that thys secrete shoulde be hyd from you my brethren (leste ye should be wyse in youre owne conceptes) that partelye blyndenes is happened in Israell, vntyll the fulnes of the gentyls be come in: ²⁶ and so al Israel shalbe saued. As it is wrytten: There shal come oute of Syon he that doeth delyuer, and shall turne away the vngodlynes of Iacob. ²⁷ And this is my couenaunte vnto them, when I shall take awaye theyr synnes. ²⁸ As concernynge the Gospell, they are ennemyes for youre sakes: but as touchynge the eleccyon, they are beloued for the fathers sakes. ²⁹ For verelye the giftes and callyng of god are suche, that it cannot repente hym of them,

¹¹ that is to saye in hym in whome we are made heyres, and were thereto predestinate accordynge to the purpose of hym which worketh all thynges after the purpose of hys owne wyll,

¹⁷ So God wyllynge verye aboundauntlye to shewe vnto the heyres of promes, the stablenes of hys counsayle, he added an othe, ¹⁸ that by two immutable thynges (in which it was vnpossyble that GOD shaulde lye) we myghte haue perfecte consolacyon, whiche haue fled, for to holde faste the hope that is set before vs,

⁹ and they songe a new songe saiyng: thou art worthy to take the boke, and to open the seales therof: for thou wast kylled, & hast redemed vs by thy bloud out of al kynredes, and tonges, and people, and nacions ¹⁰ and hast made vs to our God, kynges, and priestes, & we shal reigne on the earth. ¹¹ And I behelde, and I heard the voyce of many angels about the throne, and about the beastes, and the elders, and I heard thousande thousandes, ¹² sayinge wyth a loud voyce: Worthy is the lamb that was kylled to receiue power, and riches, and wysdome, and strength, and honoure, & glorye and blessing. ¹³ And al creatures whiche are in heauen, and on the earth, and vnder the earth, and in the sea, and al that are in them hearde I saiynge: blessing, honour, glory, and power be vnto him that sytteth vpon the seate, and to the Lambe for euermore. ¹⁴ And the foure beastes sayd Amen. And the .xxiiij. elders fel vpon theyr faces, and worshypped hym that liueth for euermore.

¹² saying, Amen: Blessing and glory, wisdome, and thankes, and honoure, and power & mighte, be vnto our God for euermore: Amen.

³ and they songe the songe of Moises the seruaunt of God, & they songe of the lamb, sayinge: Great & maruelous are thy workes Lorde God almighty, iuste & true are thy wayes kynge of sainctes.

¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl.
