² For vnto vs was it declared, as well as vnto them. But it profiteth not them that they hearde the worde, because they which hearde it, coupled it not wyth fayth.

²⁶ Fyrste vnto you hath God raysed vp his sonne Iesus, and hym he hath sent to blesse you, that euery one of you shuld turne from your wickednes.

⁴⁶ Then Paule and Barnabas wexed bolde, and sayed: it was mete that the worde of God shoulde fyrste haue ben preached to you. But seynge, ye put it from you, and thynke youre selues vnworthy of euerlastyng lyfe: lo, we turne to the gentyls:

²⁵ Circumcysyon verelye auayleth, yf thou kepe the lawe. But yf thou breake the lawe, thy circumcysyon is made vncircumcisyon.

¹⁶ But they haue not all obeyed to the Gospell. For Esayas sayeth: Lorde, who shal beleue oure saiynges? ¹⁷ So then fayth cometh by the worde of God.

³ And thought I bestowed all my goodes to fede the pore, and though I gaue my bodye euen that I burned, and yet had no loue, it profeteth me nothinge.

⁸ For the scripture sawe afore hand, that God woulde iustifye the heathen thorow fayth, & therfore shewed before hand glad tydynges vnto Abraham. In the shall all nacyons be blessed.

¹³ Ye knowe howe thorowe infyrmytye of the fleshe, I preached the Gospell vnto you at the fyrste.

⁵ For oure Gospell came not to you in worde onelye, but also in power, and in the holye Ghoste, and in muche certaintie, as ye know after what maner we behaued our selues among you, for your sakes.

¹³ For thys cause thanke we God wythout ceasyng, because that when ye receiued of vs the word, wher with God was preached, ye receiued it not as the worde of man: but euen as it was in dede, the worde of God: whiche worketh in you that beleue.

¹² that all they myghte be damned which beleued not the trueth but had pleasure in vnryghtuousnes. ¹³ But we are bounde to geue thankes alwaye to God for you brethren beloued of the Lorde, because that God hath from the beginnynge chosen you to saluacyon, thorow sanctifiynge of the spyryte, and thorowe beleuing the truet

⁸ For bodely exercyse profyteth lytell: But godlynes is good vnto all thynges, as a thynge whiche hath promyses of the lyfe that is now, and of the lyfe to come.

¹² Take hede brethren, that there be in none of you an euyll herte in vnbeleue, that he shoulde departe from the lyuinge God:

¹⁸ To whom sware he, that they should not enter into hys reste, but vnto them that beleued not? ¹⁹ And we se that they could not enter in because of vnbeleue.

⁶ Seynge therfore it foloweth that some must inter therinto, and they to whom it was fyrst preached, intred not therin for vnbeleues sake:

⁶ but wythout fayth it is vnpossybleto please hym. For he that cometh to God muste beleue that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seke hym.

²¹ Wherfore laye a parte all fylthynes, all superfluytye of malycyousnes, and receyue wyth mekenes the worde that is grafted in you, whiche is able to saue your soules.

¹² vnto which Prophetes it was declared, that not vnto them selues, but vnto vs, they shoulde mynyster the thynges whiche are nowe shewed vnto you of them whiche by the holye ghoste sent doune from heauen, haue preached vnto you the thynges whiche the aungels desyre to beholde.
