¹¹ In the .vi. hundred yere of Noes lyfe, in the seconde moneth, in the .xvij. daye of the moneth, that same day were al the founteynes of the great depe broken vp, & the wyndowes of heauen were opened,

⁷ Than God made the fyrmament, and parted the waters whyche were vnder the fyrmament, from the waters that were aboue the fyrmament: And it was so.

¹⁷ For behold, I wyll bryng in a floud of water vpon the erth to destroye al flesh from vnder heauen, wherin breth of lyf is: so that all that is in the erth shal perysh.

² & the fountaynes of the depe & the wyndowes of heauen were stopte, & the rayne of heauen was forbydden,

² Then a great Lorde on whose hande the kyng leaned, aunswered the man of God and sayde, though the Lorde woulde make wyndowes in heauen, yet wolde not thys be. And he sayde agayne: Behold, thou shalt se it with thyne eyes and shalte not eate thereof.

¹⁹ And the Lorde aunswered the man of God & sayd: though the Lorde made wyndowes in heauen, yet wolde thys not be. And the other sayde: Beholde, thou shalt se it with thyne eyes, and shalt not eate thereof.

⁴ Wyth the ryuer of water parteth he a sunder the straunge people, that knoweth no good neyghbourheade: suche as are rude, vnmanerly and boyustours.

⁸ Who shut the sea with dores, when it brake forth as a chyld oute of his mothers wombe? ⁹ When I made the cloudes to be a coueryng for it, & swadled it wyth the darcke? ¹⁰ when I gaue it my commaundement, makynge dores & barres for it, ¹¹ saying: Hytherto shalt thou come, but no forther, & here shalte thou laye doune thy proude & hye waues.

⁷ He gathereth the waters together as it were in a bottell, and layeth vp the depe in secret.

¹⁵ Thou diggest vp welles and brokes, thou dryest vp myghty waters.

²³ So he commaunded the cloudes aboue, & opened the dores of heauen. ²⁴ He rayned doune Manna vpon them for to eate, and gaue them bread from heauen.

²⁸ when he hanged the cloudes aboue: when he fastened the sprynges of the depe: ²⁹ When he shut the sea within certayn boundes, that the waters should not go ouer their markes. When he layed the foundacions of the earth

¹⁹ The earthe shall geue a greate cracke, it shall haue a sore ruyne, & taken an horrible fall.

²² Feare ye not me, sayeth the Lorde? Are ye not ashamed, to loke me in the face? which bynde the sea wyth the sande, so that it can not passe hys boundes: For thoughe it rage, yet can it do nothynge, and thoughe the waues thereof do swell, yet maye they not go ouer.

¹⁶ As soone as he letteth hys voyce be hearde, the waters in the ayre waxe fearce: He draweth vp the cloudes from the endes of the earthe. He turneth the lyghtenynges to rayne, he bryngeth the wyndes oute of theyr secrete places.

¹⁹ For thus sayeth the Lord God: when I make the a desolate cytye (as other cities be, that no man dwell in) and when I brynge the depe vpon the, that greate waters maye couer the:

⁵ For when the Lorde God of hoostes toucheth a lande, it consumeth awaye, and all they that dwell therin, muste nedes mourne: And why? theyr destruccyon shall aryse as euery streame and runne ouer them, as the floude in Egipte. ⁶ He that hath hys dwellynge in heauen, & groundeth hys tabernacle in the earth: He that calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out vpon the playne grounde: hys name is the Lorde.

¹⁰ Bringe euerye Tithe into my barne, that there maye be meat in myne house: and proue me withall (sayeth the Lorde of hostes) yf I will not open the windowes of heauen vnto you, and poure you out a blessynge with plenteousnesse.

³⁸ For as in the dayes before the floude, they did eate & drinke, mary and were maried, euen vnto the daye that Noe entred into the shippe,

³ When they shal say peace and no daunger, then commeth on them soden destruccion, as the trauaylynge of a woman wyth chyld, and they shal not escape.
