¹⁶ And the children of Israel, the pryestes, the Leuites, & the other children of the captiuyte helde the dedicacion of the house of God with ioye,

⁷ And there ye shall eate before the Lord your God, and ye shal reioyce in al that you lay your handes on, boeth ye and your housholdes, bicause the Lord thy God hath blessed the.

⁶³ And the peace offerynges that Salomon offered vnto the Lorde, were .xxij. thousand oxen & an hundred and twentye thousande shepe. And so the kynge and al the chyldren of Israel dedicated the house of the Lorde.

² And the olde enhabiters that dwelt in theyr owne possessyons & cyties were Israel, the prestes, Leuites & Mathinetites.

²⁸ And al Israel brought the Arcke of the Lordes couenaunt wyth shoutynge and blowynge of hornes, & with trompettes and symbales that sounded, and wyth psalteries and harpes.

⁵ So that kynge Salomon offered .xxij. thousand oxen, and an hundred and twentye thousand shepe. And so the kynge & all the people halowed the house of God.

⁹ And the eyght daye they made a gatheryng. For they kept the halowyng of the aulter seuen dayes, & the feast seuen dayes. ¹⁰ And the .xxiij. daye of the seuenth moneth, he let the people departe into theyr tentes, glad & merye in herte for the goodnesse that the Lord had shewed to Dauid, to Salomon & to Israel hys people.

²³ And the hoale assemble toke councell to kepe seuen dayes mo: and they helde those seuen dayes with gladnesse.

²⁶ reioysed: and there was great ioye in Ierusalem. For sence the tyme of Salomon the sonne of Dauid kynge of Israel yt happened not so in Ierusalem.

¹¹ And they sange together, geuynge prayse and thankes vnto the Lorde, because he is gracyous, and because hys mercy endureth for euer vpon Israel. And all the people shouted loude in praysing the Lorde, because the foundacyon of the house of the Lorde was layd. ¹² Many also of the old pryestes and Leuites and auncyent fathers, whyche had sene the fyrst house: when the foundacion of thys house was layed before their eyes, wepte wyth a loud voice. And many shouted with ioye,

¹ But when the aduersaries of Iuda and Ben Iamin hearde, that the children of the captiuite builded the temple vnto the Lorde God of Israel,

²² and helde the feast of vnleuended bread seuen dayes with ioye: for the Lord had made them glad, and turned the herte of the king of Assur vnto them, so that the handes were strengthed in the worcke of the house of God, whiche is the God of Israel.

⁷³ And the prestes and Leuites, the Porters, the syngers, and the other of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel dwelt in theyr cytyes. Nowe when the seuen moneth drue nye, and the chyldren of Israel were in theyr cytyes,

¹⁰ Therfore sayde he vnto them: go youre waye, and eate the fat, and dryncke the swete, and sende parte vnto them also that haue not prepared them selues: for this daye is holye vnto our Lorde, be not ye sory therfore: for the ioye of the Lorde is youre strength.

⁴³ And the same daye were there greate sacrifyces offered, and they reioysed: for God had geuen them greate gladnesse, so that both the wyues & chyldren were ioyfull, & the myrthe of Ierusalem was hearde farre of.

¹ The songe of the steares. I was glad, when they sayed vnto me: we wyll go into the house of the Lorde.

²² And it was at Hierusalem the feaste of the dedicacion of the temple, and it was wynter,

⁴ Reioyce in the Lorde alway, and agayne I say reioyce.
