¹⁷ And the kinge loued Esther aboue all the wemen, and she founde grace and mercy in his syghte before all the virgins: and he sette the quenes croune vpon her heade, and made her quene in steade of Vasthi.

⁸ He reyseth vp the poore out of the duste, and lyfteth vp the begger from the dong hill: to set them among princes, and to enheret them with the seate of glory. For the pyllers of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the rounde worlde vpon them.

¹¹ to fetche the quene Vasthi, wt the crowne regal, that he myght shewe the people and princes her fairnesse: for she was bewtiful.

¹⁴ for yf thou holdest thy peace at this tyme, then shall the Iewes haue helpe and delyueraunce out of another place, and thou and thy fathers house shalbe destroied. And who knoweth wheter thou art come to the kyngedome, for this tymes sake?

⁶ For promocyon commeth neyther from the East ner from the weste, ner yet from the wyldernesse ⁷ And why? God is the Iudge: he putteth downe one, and setteth vp another.

⁷ Which taketh vp the simple out of the dust and lyfteth the poore out of the myre. ⁸ That he may sette him amonge the prynces, euen amonge the prynces of hys people.

²⁴ And all the trees of the felde shall knowe that I the Lord haue brought doune the hye tree, and set the low tre vp: that I haue dryed vp the grene tree, and made the drye tree to florysh. Euen I the Lorde that spake it, haue also brought it to passe.

⁴⁸ For he hath loked on the poore degre of his hande maiden. Beholde now from henceforth shall all generacions cal me blessed. ⁴⁹ For he that is mightye hath done to me great thinges, and holy is his name. ⁵⁰ And his mercy is on them that feare hym thorowe out all generacions. ⁵¹ He sheweth strength with his arme, he scattereth them that are proude in the ymagynacion of their hertes. ⁵² He putteth doune the mightye from their seates, and exalteth them of low degre.
