¹⁴ Therefore I wyl kyndle a fyre in the walles of Rabbath that shal consume her palaces: with a great crie, in the daye of batel, in tempest & in the daye of storme,

¹¹ For only Og king of Basan remayned of the remnaunt of the geauntes: behold, his yron bed is yet at Rabah among the children of Ammon .ix. cubytes longe & .iiij. cubites brode, of the cubites of a man.

²⁶ And as Ioab fought agaynst Rahab the cytye of the chyldren of Amnon he toke the kynges toure,

²⁵ but as sone as he heareth the shawmes blow, thushe (sayth he) for he smelleth the battell a farre of, the noyse, the Captaynes and the shoutynge.

¹⁵ Persecute them euen so with thy tempest, and make them afrayed with thy storme.

⁵ Moreouer all temerariours and sedicious power (yea where there is but a cote fylled with bloude) shalbe burnt, and fede the fyre.

³⁰ The Lorde also shall set vp the power of his voyce, and declare his terryble arme, wyth hys angry countenaunce yea and the flamme of the consumynge fyre, with earthquake, tempest of wynde, and haile stones.

² Beholde therfore, the tyme commeth (sayeth the Lorde) that I wyll brynge a noyse of warre into Rabah of the Ammonites. Lahell shalbe desolate, and her cytyes brente vp: and the Israelytes shall be Lordes ouer those that had them in possession afore, sayeth the Lord.

⁵ As for Rabath. I will make of it a stall for camels, and of Ammon a shepefolde: & ye shal knowe, that I am the Lord.

⁴⁰ In the latter tyme shall the kinge of the south stryue with him: & the king of the north in like maner shall come agaynste him wyth charettes, horsemen and wyth a greate nauy of shippes. He shall come into the landes, destroye and go thorowe,

² Therfor wil I sende a fyre into Moab, which shal consume the palaces of Carioth, so that Moab shal perysh with a noyse, & the sounde of a shawme.

¹⁴ but scatered them among al Gentiles, whom they knew not: Thus the lande was made so desolate, that there trauayled no man in it, neyther to, nor for for that pleasaunt lande was vtterly layed waste.
