³¹ Hym hath God lyfte vp with his ryght hand to be a ruler and a sauiour, for to geue repentaunce to Israell and forgeuenes of synnes?

⁶ Yet haue I sette my kyng vpon my holy hyll of syon. ⁷ As for me, I wyll preache the law, wherof the Lord hath sayde vnto me: Thou arte my sonne, this day haue I begotten the. ⁸ Desyre of me, and I shall geue the Heathen for thyne enherytaunce. Yea the vttermost partes of the worlde for thy possessyon. ⁹ Thou shalt rule them wyth a rodde of yron, and breake them in peces lyke an earthen vessell. ¹⁰ Be wyse nowe therfore, O ye Kinges, be warned, ye that are iudges of the earthe. ¹¹ Serue the Lorde wyth feare, and reioyse before hym wyth reuerence. ¹² Kysse the sonne, lest the Lorde be angrye and so ye peryshe from the ryght way. For his wrath shalbe kindled shortly: blessed are all they that put their trust in hym.

¹⁹ Thou spakest sometyme in visions vnto thy saynctes, and saydest: I haue layed helpe vpon one that is mighty, I haue exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁴ My trueth also & my mercy shalbe wyth hym, and in my name shall hys horne be exalted.

¹ A Psalme of Dauyd. The Lorde sayde vnto my Lord: Syt thou on my ryght hande, vntyll I make thyne enemies thy fotestole. ² The Lord shal sende the rod of thy power out of Sion; be thou ruler euen in the myddest amonge thyne enemyes.

⁶ For vnto vs a chylde shalbe borne, and vnto vs a sonne shalbe geuen. Vpon his shoulder shall the kyngedome lye, and he shalbe called with hys owne name. The wonderous geuer of councel, the myghty God, the euerlastinge father, the prynce of peace,

³ For I am the Lorde thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Sauyour. I gaue Egypte for thy delyueraunce, the Moryans, and the Sabees for the:

¹¹ I am only the Lorde, and wythout me is there no Sauyour.

²¹ Lett men drawe nye, let them come hyther, & aske councell one at another, and shewe forth: What is he, that tolde this before? or who spake of it, euer sence the begynnynge? Haue not I the Lorde done it: wythout whom there is none other God? the true God and Sauioure, and there is els none but I?

²⁶ And wyl fede thyne enemyes with their owne fleshe, and make them dryncke of theyr owne bloude, as of swete wyne. And all fleshe shall knowe (O Iacob) that I am the Lorde thy Sauyoure & stronge auenger.

³¹ Beholde, the dayes come (sayeth the Lord) that I wil make a newe couenaunt with the house of Israell & with the house of Iuda: ³² not after the couenaunte that I made wyth theyr fathers, when I toke them by the hande, and led them oute of the lande of Egypte: whiche couenaunte they brake, wherfore I punyshed them sore, sayeth the Lorde: ³³ But thys shall be the couenaunte that I wyll make with the house of Israel after those dayes, sayeth the Lorde: I wyll plante my lawe in the inwarde partes of them, & wryte it in theyr hertes, and wilbe theyr God, and they shalbe my people.

²⁴ And all the trees of the felde shall knowe that I the Lord haue brought doune the hye tree, and set the low tre vp: that I haue dryed vp the grene tree, and made the drye tree to florysh. Euen I the Lorde that spake it, haue also brought it to passe.

²⁴ I the Lorde wyll be theyr God, and my seruaunte Dauid shall be their prince: Euen I the Lorde haue spoken it.

²⁵ Then wyll I poure cleare water vpon you, & ye shalbe clene: yee from all your vnclennesse and from all your Idols shal I clense you. ²⁶ A new herte also will I geue you, and a new sprete wyll I put into you: As for that stony herte, I wyll take it out of youre body, & geue you a fleshly herte. ²⁷ I will geue my sprete amonge you, and cause you to walcke in my commaundementes, to kepe my lawes, and to fulfyll them. ²⁸ And so ye shall dwell in the lande, that I gaue to youre forefathers, and ye shalbe my people, & I wilbe youre God. ²⁹ I wyll helpe you out of all youre vnclennesse. I wyll call for the corne, & will increase it, & wyll let you haue no honger. ³⁰ I wyll multiplye the fruites of the trees & the increase of the felde for you, so that ye shall beare no more reprofe of honger amonge the Heathen. ³¹ Then shall ye remembre your, owne wicked wayes, & youre ymagynacyons, whiche were not good: so that ye shall take displeasure at youre owne selues, by reason of youre synnes & abhominacyons. ³² But I wyll not do this for youre sakes (sayeth the Lorde God) be ye sure of it. Therfore, O ye house of Israell, be ashamed of your synnes. ³³ Moreouer, thus sayeth the Lord God: what tyme as I shall clense you from all youre offences, then wyll I make the cytyes to be occupyed agayne, and wyll repayre the places that be decayed. ³⁴ The desolate lande shall be buylded agayne, whiche afore tyme laye waste in the sight of all them that wente by. ³⁵ Then shall it be sayde: this waste lande is become lyke a garden of pleasure, & the voyde, desolate and broken downe cytyes, are now strong, and fensed agayne. ³⁶ Then the resydue of the Heathen that lye rounde aboute you, shall knowe that I am the Lorde, whyche repayre that was broken downe, and plante agayne, that was made waste. Euen I the Lorde haue spoken it, and wyll do it in dede. ³⁷ Thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll yet ones be found agayne of the house of Israel & do this for them: I shall increase them as a flocke of men. ³⁸ Lyke as the holy flocke and the flocke of Ierusalem are in the hye solempne feastes: so shall also the wylde wasted cyties be fylled with flockes of men: and they shall knowe that I am the Lorde.

²⁵ They shal dwel in the lande, that I gaue vnto Iacob my seruaunt, where as youre fathers also haue dwelt. Yea, euen in the same lande shall they, their chyldren, & their childers chyldren dwell for euermore: and my seruaunt Dauid shalbe their euerlastinge prince.

²⁵ Vnderstande this then, and marcke it well, that from the tyme it shalbe concluded, to go and repayre Ierusalem againe, vnto Christ (or the annointed) prince: there shalbe seuen weakes. Then shal the stretes and walles be buylded again .lxij. weakes, but wyth harde troublous time.

²¹ Neuertheles I will shew the the thinge, that is fast noted in the scripture of truethe. And as for all yonder matters, there is none that helpeth me in them, but Michael youre prynce.

¹⁰ Moreouer, vpon the house of Dauid & vpon the cytesins of Ierusalem wil I poure oute the spirite of grace & prayer, so that they shal loke vpon me, whom they haue pearsed: & they shal bewepe him, as men mourne for their onely begotten sonne: yea & be sory for him, as men are sorye for their fyrst childe.

²¹ She shall bryngforth a sonne, & thou shalt cal his name Iesus. For he shal saue his people from their sins.

¹⁸ And Iesus came and spake vnto them saiynge: all power is geuen vnto me in heauen and in earth.

¹⁰ That ye maye knowe that the sonne of man hath power in earth to forgeue synnes, he spake vnto the sicke of the palsye:

¹² that when they se, they shall se, and not dyscerne, and when they heare, they shal heare, and not vnderstand leste at any tyme they shoulde tourne: & theyr synnes shoulde be forgeuen them,

¹¹ for vnto you is borne this day in the citye of Dauid, a sauioure whiche is Christe the Lorde.

⁴⁷ and that repentaunce and remissyon of synnes shoulde be preached in his name amonge all nacions. And must begynne at Ierusalem.

²¹ Then sayde Iesus to them agayne: peace be with you. As my father sente me euen so sende I you. ²² And when he had sayd that he brethed on them and sayde. Receyue the holy ghost. ²³ Whosoeuers synnes ye remyt they are remitted vnto them. And whosoeuers synnes ye retayne, they are retayned.

³³ Sence nowe that he by the ryght hand of God is exalted, and hath receiued of the father the promyse of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth, that whyche ye now se and heare.

³⁶ So therefore let all the house of Israell knowe for a surety, that God hath made the same Iesus whom ye haue crucifyed, bothe Lord and Christe.

³⁸ Peter sayde vnto them: repent and be baptysed euerye one of you in the name of Iesus Christe for the remission of sinnes, and ye shall receiue the gifte of the holye ghost.

¹⁵ and kylled the Lorde of lyfe, whom god hath raysed from death, of the whiche we are wytnesses.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne, that youre synnes maye be done awaye. When the tyme of refreshing commeth, which we shall haue of the presence of the Lorde,

²⁶ Fyrste vnto you hath God raysed vp his sonne Iesus, and hym he hath sent to blesse you, that euery one of you shuld turne from your wickednes.

¹¹ This is the stone cast asyde of you builders, which is set in the chiefe place of the corner.

¹⁸ When they heard thys, they helde their peace & gloryfyed God, sayinge: then hath God also to the gentyls graunted repentaunce vnto lyfe.

²³ Of thys mans seed hath God (accordynge to hys promes) brought forth to the people of Israell a sauyour, one Iesus,

³⁸ Be it knowen vnto you therfore ye men & brethren, that thorowe thys man is preached vnto you the forgeuenes of synnes, ³⁹ and that by hym are all that beleue iustifyed from all thynges from the which ye coulde not be iustifyed by the lawe of Moses.

²⁶ and so al Israel shalbe saued. As it is wrytten: There shal come oute of Syon he that doeth delyuer, and shall turne away the vngodlynes of Iacob. ²⁷ And this is my couenaunte vnto them, when I shall take awaye theyr synnes.

¹⁰ To whom ye forgeue any thynge, I forgeue also. And verelye yf I forgeue anye thynge, to whome I forgaue it, for your sakes forgaue I it in the roume of Christe,

⁷ By whome we haue redemption thorowe hys bloude, euen the forgeuenes of synnes accordyng to the ryches of hys grace

²⁰ whiche he wrought in Christe, when he raysed hym from the dead, and set hym on hys ryght hande in heauenly thynges, ²¹ aboue all rule, power, and myghte, and domynyon, and aboue all names that are named, not in thys worlde onely, but also in the worlde to come, ²² and hath put all thynges, vnder hys fete, and hath made hym aboue all thynges the heade of the congregacyon, ²³ which is hys bodye, and the fulnes of hym that fylleth all in all thynges.

⁹ Wherfore God hath exalted hym, and geuen hym a name aboue al names, ¹⁰ that in the name of Iesus should euerye knee bowe, both of thinges in heauen and thinges in earth, and thinges vnder the earth, ¹¹ and that al tounges should confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lorde vnto the prayse of God the father.

²⁰ But oure conuersation is in heauen, from whence we loke for a sauiour, euen the Lorde Iesus Christ,

¹⁴ in whom we haue redempcion thorowe his bloude, that is to saye: the forgeuenes of synnes,

²⁵ the euyll in meakenes, and can informe them that resiste: yf that God at any tyme wyll geue them repentaunce for to know the trueth, ²⁶ that they may come to them selues agayne out of the snare of the deuyll, whiche are nowe taken of hym at hys wyll.

⁴ To Titus hys naturall sonne in the common fayth. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the father and from the Lorde Iesu Christe oure sauyoure.

¹⁰ neyther be pyckers, but that they shewe all good faythfulnes, that they maye do worshyp to the doctryne of oure sauyoure God in all thynges.

¹³ lokynge for that blessed hope and gloryous apperyng of the myghtye God, and of oure sauyoure Iesu Christe,

⁴ But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered, ⁵ not of the dedes of rightuousnes, which we wrought but of hys mercy he saued vs, by the fountayne of the newe byrth, & with the renuyng of the holye ghost, ⁶ which he shed on vs aboundauntly, thorowe Iesus Christe oure sauyoure,

¹⁰ For it became him, for whom are al thynges and by whom are al thinges, after that he had brought many sonnes vnto glory, that he should make the Lorde of their saluacyon perfect thorowe sufferinge.

² lokynge vnto Iesus the author and fynysher of our fayth, whiche for the ioye that was set before hym, abode the crosse, and despised the same, and is set doune on the ryght hande of the throne of God.

²² whyche is on the right hande of God, and is gone into heauen, aungelles, power, and mighte, subdued vnto him.

¹ Simon Peter a seruaunte, and an Apostle of Iesus Christe, to them whyche haue obtained lyke precyous faith wyth vs in the rightuousnes that commeth of oure God and sauiour Iesu Christ.

¹¹ Yea and by this meanes an entringe in, shalbe minystred vnto you aboundantlye into the euerlastinge kingdome of oure Lorde and sauiour Iesus Christ.

²⁰ For yf they, after they haue escaped from the fylthines of the worlde thorowe the knowledge yf the Lord and of the sauiour Iesus Christe, are yet tangled agayne therin and ouercome, then is the latter ende worsse wyth them then the beginninge.

¹⁸ but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of oure Lorde and Sauiour Iesus Christe. To whom be glorye both nowe and foreuer. Amen.

¹⁴ And we haue sene and do testifye, that the father sent the sonne, whyche is the sauyour of the world.

²⁵ that is to saye, to God oure sauyoure whiche onelye is wise be glorye maiestye, dominion and power, now and for euer. Amen.

⁵ and from Iesus Christ, whiche is a faythfull wytnes, and fyrst begotten of the dead, and Lorde ouer the kynges of the earth. Vnto him, that loued vs and washed vs from synnes in his owne bloude,
