²⁴ God that made the worlde, and all that are in it, seynge that he is Lorde of heauen and earth, he dwelleth not in temples made with handes, neyther is worshypped wt mennes handes,

¹⁹ blessed him saying: Blessed be Abram vnto the most highest God, possessor of heauen & earth.

²² And Abram answered the kinge of Sodome: I lyfte vp my hande vnto the Lord God moste high possessor of heauen & earth,

¹⁴ Behold, heauen and the heauen of heauens is the Lordes thy God, & the earth wt al that therin is:

²⁷ But in deade can God dwell on the earthe? Beholde neyther heauen, nor heauen aboue all heauens are able to contayne the: howe muche lesse then thys house that I haue built?

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the Lorde and sayde: Lorde God of Israell, whych dwellest betwene the Cherubes, thou art God alone ouer all the kyngedomes of the earthe, and thou hast made bothe heauen and earthe.

⁶ So that wo can be able to buylde hym an house: when that heauen, neyther heauen aboue all heauens is able to receyue hym, what am I then that I shulde buylde hym an house? nay, but to burne sacryfyce before hym:

¹⁸ How be it in very dede, can God dwel wt man on earth? Behold, nether heauen or heauen aboue all heauens is able to containe the: howe shuld the house then which I haue built for the do it?

¹⁸ For thus sayeth the Lorde: euen he that created heauen, the God that made the earth, that fashioned it, & sett it forth: I haue not made it for naught, but I made it to be enhabited Euen I the Lorde, wythout whom there is none other.

¹⁵ and saiynge: Syrs why do ye thys? We are mortall men lyke vnto you, and preache vnto you, that ye shoulde turne from these vanities vnto the liuynge God, which made heauen and earthe and the sea, and all that in them is:

²⁶ and hath made of one bloude all nacyons of men, for to dwell on al the face of the earth, and hath assygned before howe longe tyme, and also the endes of theyr inhabitacyon, ²⁷ that they shoulde seke God, yf they myght fele and fynde hym though he be not far from euerye one of vs. ²⁸ For in him we lyue, moue, and haue our beyng, as certayne of your own Poetes sayd.
