¹ In that tyme Herode the Kinge stretched forth hys handes to vexe certayne of the congregacyon.

¹⁷ Beware of men, for they shall delyuer you vp to the counsels, and shall stourge you in their synagoges. ¹⁸ And ye shalbe brought to the head rulers and kinges for my sake, in witnes to them & to the gentyls.

⁹ Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kyll you: and ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake.

⁵³ When I was dayly with you in temple, ye stretched not forth handes agaynste me. But this is euen youre verye houre, and the power of darcknes.

²⁰ Remember the saiyng that I sayde vnto you: the seruaunt is not greater then the lorde, yf they haue persecuted me, so wyll they persecute you: yf they haue kept my saiynges, so wyll they kepe yours.

² They shall excommunicate you: ye the tyme shall come, that whosoeuer kylleth you, wil thinke that he doeth god seruice.

³⁰ So that thou stretche forth thy hande, that healing and signes and wounders be done by the name of thy holye chylde Iesus.

³¹ Then had the congregations reste thorowe out all Iewry and Galile and Samarie, and were edified, and walked in the feare of the Lorde, and multiplied by the confort of the holy ghoste.
