⁵ but vnto Cayn & vnto hys offrynge loked he not. And Cayn was wroth exceadyngly, & loured. ⁶ And the Lorde sayd vnto Cayn: why art thou angry, & why lourest thou? Wotest thou not yf thou dost well thou shalt receyue it? ⁷ But and yf thou dost euell, by & by thy synne lyeth open in the dore. Notwithstandyng let it be subdued vnto the, and sea thou rule it.

²⁸ And vnto man he sayde: Beholde, to feare the Lorde, is wisedom, and to forsake euil, is vnderstandinge.

⁹ The feare of the Lorde is cleane, and endureth for euer: the iudgementes of the Lord are true and ryghtuous altogether.

⁹ For hys saluacyon is nye them that feare hym so, that glory shall dwell in oure lande.

¹⁰ The feare of the Lorde is the beginning of wysdome, a good vnderstandyng haue al they that do therafter: the prayse of it endureth for euer.

⁷ The feare of the Lord is the begynnynge of wysdome. But fooles despise wysdome & destruccion.

⁵ then shalt thou vnderstande the feare of the Lord, & fynde the knowlege of God.

⁷ Be not wyse in thyne own conceyte, but feare the Lord, & departe from euell:

⁶ With louyng mercye and fayethfulnesse synnes be forgeuen, and who so feareth the Lorde, he eschueth euell.

¹³ Let vs heare the conclusion of all thinges Feare God, and kepe his commaundementes, For that toucheth al men:

³ Then shall not the straunger, which cleaueth to the Lorde, saye: Alas the Lorde hath shut me cleane oute from his people. Nether shall the gelded man say: lo, I am a drye tre. ⁴ For thus sayth the Lorde, fyrste vnto the gelded that kepeth my Sabboth: Namelye: that holdeth greately of the thynge that pleaseth me, and kepeth my couenaunte: ⁵ Vnto them wyll I geue in my housholde and within my walles, a better herytage and name then yf they had bene called sonnes and doughters I wyll geue them an euerlastynge name, that shall not peryshe. ⁶ Agayne, he sayeth vnto the straungers that are dysposed to stycke to the Lorde, to serue hym, and to loue hys name: That they shalbe no bonde men. And all they whiche kepe them selues, that they vnhalowe not the Sabboth, namely that they fulfil my couenaunt. ⁷ Then wyll I brynge to my holye mountayne, and make them ioyfull in my house of prayer. Their burnt offeringes & sacryfyces shalbe accepted vpon mine aulter, for my house shalbe an house of prayer for all people. ⁸ Thus sayeth the Lorde God whiche gathered together the scatred of Israel: I wil bring yet another congregacion to him.

¹³ Whereas they do sacryfice, offeringe the fleshe and eatinge it: the Lorde wyll haue no pleasure therin: but wyll remembre their wickednes, and punyshe their sinnes. Israel turneth agayne into Egipte,

²⁸ And the aungel wente in vnto her, & sayde Hayle full of grace, the Lorde is with the: blessed art thou amonge women.

³¹ Then had the congregations reste thorowe out all Iewry and Galile and Samarie, and were edified, and walked in the feare of the Lorde, and multiplied by the confort of the holy ghoste.

² a deuout man, & one that feared God wt al his houshold whiche gaue much almes to the people, and prayed God alway.

⁹ and he put no difference betwene them and vs, but with fayth purified theyr hertes.

¹³ For before God they are not ryghtuous whiche heare the lawe: but the doers of the lawe shalbe iustifyed.

²⁵ Circumcysyon verelye auayleth, yf thou kepe the lawe. But yf thou breake the lawe, thy circumcysyon is made vncircumcisyon. ²⁶ Therfore yf the vncircumcised kepe the right thynges conteyned in the lawe: shall not hys vncircumcysyon be counted for circumcision? ²⁷ And shall not vncircumcysyon whiche is by nature (yf it kepe the lawe) iudge the, whiche beynge vnder the letter and circumcysyon, doest transgresse the lawe? ²⁸ For he is not a Iewe, whiche is a Iewe outwarde. Neyther is that thynge circumcysyon, whiche is outewarde in the fleshe: ²⁹ but he is a Iewe, which is hyd within, and the circumcisyon of the herte is the true circumcisyon, whiche is in the spirite & not in the letter, whose prayse is not of men, but of God.

²² The ryghteousnes no doubte whiche is good before God commeth by the fayth of Christe, vnto all and vpon all that beleue. There is no difference:

²⁹ Is he the God of Iewes onely? Is he not also the God of the gentyls? Yes, euen of the gentyls also. ³⁰ For it is God onelye which iustifyeth circumcysyon whiche is of fayth, and vncircumcysyon thorowe fayth.

¹² There is no difference betwene the Iewe, & the gentyll. For one is Lorde of all whiche is ryche vnto all that call on hym. ¹³ For whosoeuer shall call on the name of the Lorde, shalbe safe.

¹³ For in one spyryte are we al baptysed to make one body, whether we be Iewes or Gentiles, whether we be bounde or fre: and haue al drounke of one spirite.

¹ Seynge that we haue such promyses dearely beloued, let vs cleanse oure selues from al fylthynesse of the fleshe & spyrite, and grow vp to full holynesse in the feare of God.

²⁸ Nowe is there no Iewe neyther gentyle, ther is neyther bonde nor free: there is neyther man nor woman, but ye are all one thyng in christ Iesu.

⁶ to the prayse of the glory of hys grace, wherewith he hath made vs accepted in the beloued.

¹³ But nowe in Christ Iesu, ye whych a whyle ago were farre of are made nygh by the bloud of Christe. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, whiche had made of both one, and hath broken doune the wall that was a stop betwene vs, ¹⁵ and hath also put awaye thorowe hys fleshe the cause of hatred (that is to saye, the lawe of commaundementes contayned in the lawe written) for to make of twayne one newe man in hym selfe, so makinge peace: ¹⁶ and to reconcile both vnto God in one body thorowe his crosse, and slew hatered therby: ¹⁷ and came and preached peace to you, whiche were a farre of, and to them that were nygh. ¹⁸ For thorowe hym we both haue an open waye in, in one spyrite vnto the father.

⁶ that the Gentyles shoulde be inheritours also, and of the same bodye, and partakers of hys promes that is in Christe, by the meanes of the Gospell, ⁷ wherof I am made a mynyster, by the gyfte of the grace of God geuen vnto me thorowe the workynge of hys power. ⁸ Vnto me the leaste of all sainctes is this grace geuen, that I shoulde preache amonge the Gentyls the vnsearcheable ryches of Christe,

²¹ submittinge your selues one to another in the feare of God.

³ For we are cyrcumcysion, whyche worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christe Iesu, and haue no confidence in the fleshe,

⁶ which is come vnto you, euen as it is into all the world, and is frutefull, as it is amonge you, from the fyrste daye in the, whiche ye hearde of it, and had experience in the grace of God in the trueth,

²³ yf ye continue grounded and stablyshed in the fayth, and be not moued away from the hope of the Gospell, where of ye haue hearde, how that it is preached amonge al creatures which are vnder heauen, wherof I Paule am made a minister. ²⁴ Nowe ioye I in my sufferinges which I suffer for you, and fulfyll that whiche is behinde of the passions of Christe in my fleshe for his bodies sake, which is the congregacion, ²⁵ wherof I am made a minister accordinge to the ordinaunce of God, whiche ordinaunce was geuen me vnto you warde, to fulfyll the worde of God, ²⁶ that mistery hyd sence the world beganne, and sence the begynnynge of generacyons: but now is opened to hys sainctes ²⁷ to whom God woulde make knowen the glorious riches of this misterye amonge the Gentyls, whiche ryches is Christ, in you the hope of glorye,

¹¹ where is neyther Gentile nor Iew, circumcysion nor vncircumcision, Barbarous or Sythian, bond or fre: but Christ is all in al thinges.

⁴ By fayth Abel offred vnto God a more plentuous sacrifyce then Cayn: by whiche he obtayned wytnes that he was ryghtuous, God testifiynge of his gyftes: by which also he beynge dead, yet speaketh. ⁵ By fayth was Enoch translated that he shoulde not se death, neyther was he founde: for God had taken hym away. Before he was taken awaye, he was reported, of, that he had pleased God: ⁶ but wythout fayth it is vnpossybleto please hym. For he that cometh to God muste beleue that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seke hym.

²⁹ If ye knowe that he is rightuous, knowe also that he whiche foloweth rightuousnes, is borne of hym.
