¹⁰ But thou haste sene the experience of my doctryne, fashyon of lyuyng, purpose, fayth, long suffering, loue, pacience,

⁸ But Daniel was at a poynte wyth hym self, that he wolde not be defyled thorowe the kynges meate, nor the wyne whiche he droncke. And this he desyred of the chefe Chamberlaine, leste he shulde defyle hym selfe.

³ I determined also, assone as I had searched out dylygentlye all thinges from the beginning, that then I would write vnto the, good Theophilus:

⁴² And they continued in the Apostles doctrine and fellowshyppe, and in breakyng of bread, and in praier.

²³ Which when he was come, and had sene the grace of God, was gladd, and exhorted them all that wyth purpose of hert they woulde continually cleaue vnto the Lorde.

¹⁸ And when they were come to hym, he sayde vnto them. Ye knowe from the fyrste daye that I came into Asia, after what maner I haue ben with you at al ceasons

⁴ My liuinge of a childe, whiche was at the fyrst amonge myne owne nacion at Ierusalem, knowe all the Iewes,

¹⁷ I beseche you brethren, marke them which cause diuisyon, and geue occasyons of euyl, contrary to the doctryue which ye haue learned: and auoyd them.

¹⁷ When I thus wyse was mynded: dyd I vse lyghtnes? Or thynke I carnallye those thinges, which I thinke? that with me should be yea yea, and nay nay?

⁴ but in al thynges let vs behaue our selues as the ministers of God. In muche pacience, in afflictions, in necessitie, in anguishe, ⁵ in strypes, in prysonnement in stryfe, in laboure, in watchynge, in fasting ⁶ in purenes, in knoweledge, in longe suffering in kyndnes, in the holye ghoste, in loue vnfayned, ⁷ in the wordes of trueth, in the power of God, in the armour of ryghtuousnes on the ryght hande, and on the lyfte, ⁸ in honoure and dishonour, in euyll reporte, & good reporte: as disceyuers & yet true: ⁹ as vnknowen, & yet knowen: as dying, & beholde we yet liue: as chastened and not kylled: ¹⁰ as sorowyng, & yet alway mery: as poore, and yet make many ryche: as hauynge nothynge, and yet possessynge all thynges.

¹⁴ That we henceforth be no more chyldren, waueringe and caryed wyth euerye wynde of doctryne, by the wylynes of men and craftynes, wherby they laye awayte for vs to deceyue vs.

²² Ye knowe the profe of hym, howe that as a sonne with the father, so with me bestowed he his laboure vpon the Gospel

⁵ For oure Gospell came not to you in worde onelye, but also in power, and in the holye Ghoste, and in muche certaintie, as ye know after what maner we behaued our selues among you, for your sakes.

³ And I besought the to abyde styl in Ephesus, when I departed into Macedonia, euen so do, that thou commaunde some, that they teache no nother wyse:

⁶ Yf thou shalt put the brethren in remembraunce of these thynges: thou shalt be a good mynyster of Iesu Christe, whiche hast bene noryshed vp in the wordes of the fayth and good doctryne, which doctryne thou haste contynuallye folowed.

¹² Let no man despyse thy youthe: but be vnto them that beleue, an ensample, in worde in conuersacyon, in loue, in spyryte, in fayth & in purenes. ¹³ Tyll I come, geue attendaunce to reading to exhortacyon and to doctryne.

¹¹ But thou which arte the man of GOD, flye suche thynges. Folowe ryghtuousnes. Godlynes, loue, pacyence and mekenes.

²² Lustes of youth auoyde, and folow ryghtuousnes, fayth, loue, & peace, with them that call on the Lorde with pure herte.

¹⁶ For al scripture geuen by inspyracion of God, is profytable to teache, to improue, to amende and to instruct in ryghtuousnes, ¹⁷ that the man of God maye be perfecte and prepared vnto all good workes.

³ For the tyme wyll come, when they wyll not suffer wholsome doctryne: but after theyr owne lustes shall they (whose eares ytch) get them an heape of teachers,

⁷ Aboue all thynges shewe thy selfe an ensample of good workes wyth vncorrupt doctryne wyth honesty,

⁹ Be not caryed aboute wyth dyuerse and straunge learnynge. For it is a good thynge that the herte be stablyshed wyth grace, and not with meates, whiche haue not profyted them that haue had theyr pastyme in them.

⁵ And herunto geue al diligence, in youre fayth, mynyster vertue, and in vertue knowledge, ⁶ and in knowledge temperancie, and in temperauncie, pacience, in pacience, Godlynes, ⁷ in Godlines brotherly kyndnes, in brotherlye kindnes, loue.

¹¹ If al these thinges shal perishe, what maner persons ought ye to be in holye conuersacyon and Godlynes:

⁹ Whosoeuer transgresseth and bydeth not in the doctryne of Christe, hath not God. He that endureth in the doctrine of Christe, hath both the father and the sonne. ¹⁰ Yf there come any vnto you, and bringe not this learninge, him receiue not to house, neither byd hym God spede.
