¹⁵ And counte hym not as an enemy, but warne hym as a brother.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thyne hart but shalt in anye wyse rebuke thy neyghboure: that thou bere not synne for hys sake. ¹⁸ Thou shalt not auenge thy selfe nor bere hate in thy mynde agaynst the chyldren of thy people, but shalt loue thy neyghboure euen as thy selfe I am the Lorde.

⁵ Let the righteous rather smite me frindly, & reproue me: so will I take it, as though he had poured oyle vpon my head: it shall not hurt my head, yea, I will praye yet for theyr wickednesse.

⁹ Geue a discrete man but an occasion, & he wilbe the wiser, teache a righteous man, and he will increase.

¹² The correction of the wise is to an obedient eare, a golden cheine & a Iewel of gold.

¹⁵ Moreouer, if thy brother trespase agaynst the, Go and tell hym hys fault betwene hym and the alone. If he heare the, thou hast wonne thy brother.

¹⁴ I wryte not these thinges to shame you but as my beloued sonnes I warne you.

⁵ be delyuered vnto Sathan, for the destruccion of the fleshe, that the spirite maye be saued in the daye of the Lorde Iesus.

⁶ It is suffycyente vnto the same man, that he was rebuked of many. ⁷ So that nowe contrarywyse ye ought to forgeue hym, and comforte hym: leaste that same persone shoulde be swalowed vp, with ouer muche heauynes. ⁸ Wherfore I exhorte you, that loue maye haue strengthe ouer hym. ⁹ For this cause verely dyd I wryte, that I might know the profe of you, whether ye shoulde be obedyent in all thynges. ¹⁰ To whom ye forgeue any thynge, I forgeue also. And verelye yf I forgeue anye thynge, to whome I forgaue it, for your sakes forgaue I it in the roume of Christe,

⁸ and thoughe I shoulde boste my selfe some what more of oure authoritie which the Lord hath geuen vs to edifye, and not to destroye you, it shoulde not be to my shame.

¹⁰ Therfore wryte I these thinges beynge absente, leste when I am presente I shoulde vse sharpenesse accordynge to the power whiche the Lorde hath geuen me, to edifye, and not to destroye.

¹ Brethren, yf any man be fallen by chaunce into any faute: ye which are spyrytuall helpe to amende hym, in the spyryte of mekenes, consyderynge thy selfe leste thou also be tempted.

¹⁴ We desyre you brethren, warne them that are vnruly, comforte the feble minded, forbeare the weake, haue contynuall pacience towarde all men.

¹⁰ A man that is geuen to heresye, after the fyrst & the seconde admonicyon auoyde,

¹⁹ Brethren yf anye of you erre from the trueth and an other conuerte hym, ²⁰ let the same know that he which conuerted the synner from goyng astraye out of hys waye, shall saue a soule from death, and shall hyde the multytude of synnes.

²² And haue compassyon of some, separatynge them: ²³ and other saue wyth feare, pullynge them oute of the fyre, and hate the fylthy vesture of the flesh.
