¹³ And Gad came to Dauid and shewed him and sayde vnto hym: whether wilt thou haue seuen yeares hunger in thy lande, or that thou flee thre monethes before thyne enemies, and they folowyng the, or that there be thre daies pestilence in thy lande. Now vnderstand and se, what worde I shal brynge agayne to hym that sent me.

¹⁶ then I wyll do this agayne vnto you: I wyl viset you with vexacions, swellinge & feuers, that shall make your eyes dasel, & wt sorowes of herte. And ye shall sowe your seede in vayne, for youre enemyes shall eate it. ¹⁷ And I wyll sette my face agaynst you & ye shall fal before youre enemyes, & they that hate you shall raygne ouer you, and ye shall flee when no man foloweth you.

²⁰ And so youre labour shall be spent in vayne. For your land shal not gyue hyr encrease, neyther the trees of the land shal gyue their fruites.

²⁵ I wyl send a swerd vpon you, that shall auenge my testament wyth you. And when ye are fledde vnto your cityes, I wyll sende the pestilence amonge you, ye shal be deliuered into the handes of your enemies.

³⁶ And vpon them that are left a liue of you I wyl sende a fayntnes into theyr hertes, in all the land of their enemies: so that the sound of a leaf that falleth, shall chase them & they shall flee as though they fled a swerde, and shall fal, no man folowyng them. ³⁷ And they shal fal, one vpon another, as it were before a swerde, euen no man folowyng them, and ye shal haue no power to stand before your enemies.

²² And the Lord shall smyte the with swellynge, with feuers, heet, bunrynge, wetherynge, with smytynge and blastynge. And they shall folowe the vntyll thou peryshe.

²⁵ And the Lorde shall plage the before thyne enmyes: Thou shalt come out one waye agaynste them, and flee seuen wayes before them, & shalt be scatered amonge al the kingdomes of the erth.

²⁷ And the Lorde wyll smyte the wyth the botches of Egypt and the emoroydes, scalle & maungynesse, that thou shalt not be healed therof.

³⁵ The Lord shal smyte the wyth a myscheuous botche in the knees and legges, so that thou canst not be healed: euen from the sole of the fote vnto the toppe of the head.

⁵² And he shall kepe the in, in all thy cities, vntyll the hye & stronge walles be come doune wherin thou trustedest, thorow al the lande. And he shal besyege the in al thy cytyes thorow out all thy land which the Lord thy god hath geuen the.

¹ Then there fell an hongre in the daies of Dauid thre yeares, year by yeare. And Dauid enquyred of the Lorde. And the Lorde answered it is for Sauls sake and the house of bloude, because he slue the Gabaonites.

¹ And Eliah the Thesbite whyche was of the enhabiters of Galaad saide vnto Ahab: as truly as the Lorde God of Israel lyueth, before whome I stande, there shal be neyther dewe nor rayne these yeares, saue as I appoynt it. ² And the word of God came to him saying: ³ get the hence and turne the eastwarde, & hyde thy selfe in the broke Karith, that lyeth before Iordan, ⁴ dryncke of the ryuer for I haue commaunded the rauens to fede the herte. ⁵ And he went and dyd accordynge vnto the worde of the Lorde: he went and dwelt by the broke Karith that lyeth before Iordan. ⁶ And the rauens brought hym breade and fleshe euery mornyng and euery euenynge, and he drancke of the broke. ⁷ And it chaunced after a whyle that the broke dried vp, because there fell no rayne vpon the earth.

¹² Chose the eyther thre yeares famyshement, or thre monethes to be consumed of thine aduersaries, the swerde of thyne enemyes ouertakynge the: or else the swerde of the Lord thre dayes and pestilence in the lande, the Aungel of the Lorde destroyinge thorowe oute all the coastes of Israel. And now aduise thy self what word I shal brynge againe to hym that sent me.

⁶ For the pestilence that crepeth in the darkenesse, nor for the sikenesse that destroyeth in the noone daye.

¹³ Thou sonne of man, when the lande synneth againste me, & goeth forthe in wyckednesse: I will stretche oute myne hand vpon it, & destroye all the prouysyon of theyr bread, and sende derth vpon them, to destroy man & beast in the lande.

¹⁹ If I sende a pestilence into the lande, & poure oute my sore indignacion vpon it in bloude, so that I rote oute of it bothe man & beast, ²⁰ & yf Noe, Daniel and Iob were therin: as truly as I lyue (sayeth the Lorde GOD) they shall delyuer neyther sonnes nor doughters, but saue their owne soules in theyr ryghtuousnes. ²¹ Moreouer thus sayth the Lord god: Though I sende my foure troublous plages vpon Ierusalem: the swearde, honger, perlous, beastes and pestilence, to destroye man and beaste oute of it:

²⁵ But I tell you of a truthe, manye wydowes were in Israel in the dayes of Helias, when heauen was shut thre yeares & syxe moneths when great fanishment was through out all the lande,
