1 There was long stryfe betwene the house of Saul and the house of Dauid. But Dauid waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker & weaker.

And so became the Moabites Dauids seruauntes & payde trybute. 3 Dauid smote also Adadezer the sonne of Rehob kynge of Zobah as he went to make the ende of hys coastes at the ryuer Euphrates. 4 And Dauid toke a thousande and seuen hundred horsemen of hys, and twentye thousand fote men & destroied all hys charettes reseruynge one hundred of them. 5 Then came the Syryans of Damascon to succour Adadezer kyng of Zobah. And Dauid slue of them two and twentye thousande men 6 and put soudyours in Syra Damascon. And the Syryans became seruauntes to Dauid, payeng trybute. And thus the Lord saued Dauid in all that he went to. 7 And Dauid toke the shyldes of golde that were vpon the seruauntes of Adadezer and broughte them to Ierusalem. 8 And therto out of Betah & Berathai cyties of Adadezer he broughte excedynge great aboundaunce of brasse. 9 When Thoi Kyng of Hemath had hearde how Dauid had discomforted all the hoste of Adadezer, 10 he sent Ioram hys sonne vnto king Dauid to salute hym wyth peace & to blesse hym because he had fought against Adadezer and beaten hym, for Thoi kepte warre wyth Adadezer, which sonne brought vessels of syluer, golde, and of brasse wyth him. 11 And them also kynge Dauid dyd dedicate vnto the Lorde wyth the syluer and gold that he consecrated of all nacyons whiche he subdued: 12 of the Syryans, the Moabytes, the chyldren of Ammon the Phylystines, the Amaleckites, and of the spoyle of Adadezer sonne of Rehob kynge of Zobah. 13 And Dauid made hym a name after he returned from the slaughter of the Syryans in the valey of Salt where he slew .xviij. thousand men. 14 And he put kepers in Edom, euen thorow oute al Edom put he soudyars and al Edom became hys seruauntes. And the Lorde kepte Dauid whatsoeuer he toke in hand.
6 And the people went out into the felde agaynst Israel, and the battel was in the wode of Ephraim. 7 Where the people of Israel were put to the worsse before the seruauntes of Dauid, and there was a great slaughter that daye, euen of twenty thousand men. 8 And the felde was foughte in dyuerse places, al abroade vpon the earthe. And the wodes deuoured mo people that day then dyd the swerde.
9 And al the people were at stryffe thorowoute al the trybes of Israel sayinge: the kinge deliuered vs out of the hand of oure enemies, And he delyuered vs out of the hand of the Philistines. And nowe he is fled out of the land for Absalom.
14 And he bowed the hertes of all the men of Iuda, as a man woulde bowe the hert of one man: so that they sent worde to the kynge, that he shoulde returne with al his seruauntes.
1 And there happened to be an vnthryftye felow named Seba the sonne of Bochri a man of Gemini whyche blewe a trompet and sayde: we haue no parte in Dauid, nor inheritaunce in the sonne of Isai, o Israel, let vs depart therfore euery man to hys tent. 2 And al Israel went from Dauid and folowed Seba the sonne of Bochri. But the men of Iuda claue fast vnto the kyng, from Iordan to Ierusalem.
22 And then the woman went vnto all the people in her wysedome. And they smote of the heade of Seba the sonne of Bochri, & cast it to Ioab. And he blewe a trompet, and they skatered from the cytye, euery man to his tent. And Ioab returned to Ierusalem vnto the kynge.
1 VVhy do the Heathen grudge? why do the people ymagyne vayne thinges? 2 The kynges of the earth stande vp, and the rulers are come to gether, agaynste the Lorde and agaynste hys anoynted. 3 Let vs breake their hondes a sunder, and cast away their yock from vs. 4 Neuerthelesse he that dwelleth in heauen, shall laughe them to scorne: yea euen the Lorde hym selfe shall haue them in derysyon. 5 Then shal he speake vnto them in hys wrath, and vexe them in hys sore displeasure. 6 Yet haue I sette my kyng vpon my holy hyll of syon.
8 Desyre of me, and I shall geue the Heathen for thyne enherytaunce. Yea the vttermost partes of the worlde for thy possessyon.
43 Thou shalt delyuer me from the striuynges of the people, thou shalt make me the head of the Heathen. A people whom I haue not knowne shal serue me.
6 He shall be iudge amonge the Heathen, he shall fyl them wyth deade bodyes, and smite in sunder the heades ouer diuerse countres.
5 Lo, thou shalte call an vnknowne people: & a people that had no knowledge of the, shall runne vnto the: because of the Lorde thy God, the holye one of Israell, which glorifieth the.
12 For euery poeple & kingedom that serueth not the, shal perysh, and be destroyed with the swerd.
1 They shal seke my, that hytherto haue not asked for me: they shall fynde me, that hitherto haue not sought me. Then shal I say immediatly to the people that neuer called vpon my name: I am here, I am here.
14 Then gaue he hym power and dignitie regal, that al people trybes and tunges shoulde serue him. Hys power is an euerlastynge power, whych shal neuer be put doune, and his kingdome endureth vncorrupte.
23 I will sowe them vpon earth, for a sede to mine owne selfe, & will haue mercye vpon her, that was without mercy. And to them, which were not my people, I wil say: thou arte my people: and he shal say: thou art my God.
25 whiche by the mouth of thy seruaunt Dauid hast said: Why dyd the heathen rage, and the people imagyn vaine thinges. 26 The kinges of the earth stode vp and the rulers came together, againste Lorde and agaynste his Chryste. 27 For of a trueth againste thy holy childe Iesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herode and also Poncius Pilate, with the Gentyls & the people of Israel, gathered them selues together, 28 for to do whatsoeuer thy hande and thy councell determined before to be done.
25 As he sayeth in Osee I wyll call them my people which were not my people: and her beloued which was not beloued.
12 And in another place Esayas saith: there shalbe the rote of Iesse, and he that shall ryse to reygne ouer the Gentyles: in hym shal the Gentyles truste.
15 And the seuenth angell blewe, and there were made greate voyces in heauen, sayinge: the kyngdomes of thys worlde are oure Lordes and hys Christes, & he shall raygne for euer more.
