¹³ And Ioas kyng of Israel toke Amaziah kynge of Iuda. sonne of Iehoas, sonne of Ohoziah, at Bethsames. And then he went to Ierusalem, and brake doune of the walle of Ierusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, foure hundred cubytes.

⁶ And when they had taken him, they brought him to Nabuchodonozor the kynge of Babilon to Reblah, where they reasoned wyth him.

²³ And Ioas kynge of Israel toke Amaziah Kynge of Iuda the sonne of Iehoas the sonne of Ohoziah at Bethsames: and brought hym to Ierusalem, and tare the walle of Ierusalem from the gate of Ephraim vnto the corner gate, foure hundred cubytes longe. ²⁴ And he toke all the goulde and syluer and all the Iuelles that were founde in the house of God wyth Obed Edom and the treasure of the kynges house & hostages, and returned to Samaria.

¹¹ Wherfore the Lorde brought vpon them the Capitaynes of the hoste of the Kynge of Assur, which toke Manasseh in an holde and bounde him with chaynes & caryed hym to Babylon.

⁶ Againste hym came Nabuchodonozor kynge of Babilon & bounde him in fetters to carye him to Babilon.

¹⁰ And when the yere was out, kynge Nabuchodonozor sent & fet him to Babilon with the goodlye vessels of the house of the Lord, & made Zebekiah his brother kynge ouer Iuda and Ierusalem.

¹⁶ And the people wente vp, and fet them, & made them bothes, euerye one vpon the rofe of hys house, and in theyr courtes, and in the courtes of the house of GOD, and in the strete by the Watergate, and in the strete by porte Ephraim.

³⁹ and to the porte of Ephraim, and to the oldegate, and to the Fyshgate, and to the tower of Hananeel, and to the tower of Meah, vntyll the shepegate. And in the presongate stode they styll,

¹¹ poure oute the indignacyon of thy wrath: se that thou caste doune all the proude, ¹² loke well, that thou makest all suche as be stubborne, to obeye: treade all the vngodlye vnder thy fete,

¹⁸ Presumptuousnes goth before destruction, & after aproud stomake ther foloweth a fall.

²³ After pryde commeth a fal, but a lowly spirit bringeth great worshippe.

¹¹ Which casteth doune the hygh lokes of presumptuous personnes, & bryngeth lowe the pryde of man, & he only shall be exalted in the daye. ¹² For the daye of the Lorde of Hostes shall go ouer all pryde & presumpcyon, vpon all them that exalte them selues, & shall brynge them all doune:

³⁸ Beholde the dayes come sayeth the Lorde, that the cytie of the Lord shalbe enlarged from the toure of Hananeel, vnto the gate of the corner wall.

³⁷ Then dyd I Nabuchodonosor loue, magnifye and prayse the kynge of heauen: for all hys worckes are true, and hys wayes righte. As for those that go on proudely, he is able to brynge them doune.

¹⁰ Men shall go about the whole earth, as vpon a feld: from Gibea to Remnon, & from the south to Ierusalem. The shal be set vp, & inhabited in her place: from BenIamins porte, vnto the place of the first port, & vnto the corner porte, & from the tower of Hananeel, vnto the kinges wine presses. ¹¹ For whosoeuer exalteth him selfe, shalbe broughte lowe. And he that humbleth him selfe, shalbe exalted.
