⁴ I reioysed greatly, that I founde of thy children walking in trueth, as we haue receiued a commaundemente of the father.

⁹ Who so is wyse, shall vnderstande thys: & he that is ryght instructe, wyll regarde it. For the wayes of the Lorde are ryghteous, suche as be Godlye wil walcke in them: As for the wicked, they wyll stomble therin.

⁶ The law of truth was in his mouth and there was no wickednesse founde in hys lippe. He walcked with me in peace & equite, and dyd turne manye one awaye from their synnes.

¹⁴ But when I sawe, that they went not the ryghte waye after the truth of the Gospell, I sayde vnto Peter before all men, yf thou beynge a Iew, lyuest after the maner of the Gentyls, and not as do the Iewes: why causeste thou the Gentyls to lyue as do the Iewes?

² and walke in loue euen as Christe loued vs, and gaue hym selfe for vs, an offeringe, and a sacrifice of a swete sauoure to God.

⁸ Ye were ones darckenes, but are nowe lyghte in the Lorde. Walke as chyldren of lyghte.

¹⁰ I reioyce in the Lorde greatly, that nowe at the last ye are reuiued agayne to care for me, in that wherin ye were also carefull, but ye lacked opportunitie.

¹⁹ For what is oure hope or ioye, or crowne of reioysynge: are not ye it in the presence of our Lord Iesus Christ at hys coming? ²⁰ yes ye are our glory and ioye.

⁶ But nowe lately when Timotheus came from you vnto vs, and declared to vs youre fayth & your loue, & howe that ye haue good remembraunce of vs alwayes, desyring to se vs as we desyre to se you. ⁷ Therfore brethren we had consolacion in you and in all our aduersyte and necessitie, thorow your fayth. ⁸ For nowe are we alyue, yf ye stande stedfast in the Lorde. ⁹ For what thankes can we recompence to God again for you, ouer al the ioy that we ioy for your sakes before oure God ¹⁰ whyl we nighte and daye praye excedinglye that we mighte se you presently, and might fulfill that which is lackynge in youre fayth.

⁶ yf we saye that we haue felowshippe with him, and yet walke in darckenes, we lye, and do not the trueth, ⁷ but and yf we walke (in light) euen as he is in lighte, then haue we felowshyppe wyth hym, and the bloude of Iesus Christe his sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.

⁶ He that sayeth he abydeth in him ought to walke euen as he walked.

³ I reioysed greatly, when the brethren came and testifyed of the trueth that is in the, how thou walkest in the trueth. ⁴ I haue no greater ioye, then for to heare howe that my sonnes walke in veritye.
