⁶ Then the kynge called Iehoiada that was the chefest, and sayde to him: Why requyrest thou not of the Leuytes to brynge in, out of Iuda and Ierusalem the summe apoynted by Moses the seruaunt of the Lorde, and by the congregacion of Israel, for the tabernacle of wytnesse.

¹² when thou takest the summe of the children of Israel and tellest them, they shal geue euery man a reconcylynge of his soule vnto the Lorde that there be no plage amonge them when thou tellest them. ¹³ And thus much shall euery man geue that goth in the number: halfe a sycle, after the sicle of the sanctuarye: a sicle is .xx. gears: and an halfe sicle shalbe the heueoffrynge vnto the Lord. ¹⁴ And all that are numbred of them that are .xx. yere olde and aboue shall geue an heueofferynge vnto the Lorde. ¹⁵ The ryche shall not passe, and the poore shall not go vnder halfe a syckle, when they geue an heue offeringe vnto the Lorde for the attonemente of their soules. ¹⁶ And thou shalt take the reconcilynge mony of the children of Israell and shalt put it vnto the vse of the tabernacle of witnesse, and it shall be a memorial of the chyldren of Israell before the Lord, to make an attonement for their soules.

⁵⁰ But thou shalte appoynt the Leuites vnto the habitation of witnesse, and to all the apparell thereof and vnto all that longeth therto. For they shal bear the tabernacle and al the ordinaunce therof, and they shall minister it, and shall pytche theyr tentes rounde about it.

⁷ And Moses put the roddes before the Lord in the tabernacle of witnes. ⁸ And on the morow, Moses wente into the tabernacle: and beholde the rodd of Aaron of the house of Leuy was budded & bare blossoms and almondes.

² And thy brethren also the trybe of Leui, the trybe of thy father take wyth the, and let them be ioyned vnto the, and minister vnto the. And thou and thy sonnes wyth the shall minister before the tabernacle of wytnes.

³ And Ioab sayde vnto the kynge: I beseche that the Lorde thy God make the people as many mo as they be: ye & an hundred tymes so many mo, and that the eyes of my Lorde the Kynge maie se them. But howe it is that my Lorde the Kyng hath a lust in this thing?

⁴⁴ Our fathers had the tabernacle of witnes in the wildernes, as he had apoynted them speaking vnto Moyses, that he shoulde make it accordynge to the fashyon that he had sene,
