²⁰ Of whose numbre is Himeneus and Alexander whome I haue delyuered vnto Sathan that he myghte be taught not to blaspheme.

¹⁷ If he heare not them, tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not the congregacion, take hym as a Heathen man, & as a publican.

⁴⁵ When the Iewes saw the people, they were ful of indignacyon & spake agaynste those thynges, whiche were spoken of Paule, speakynge agaynst it, and railynge on it.

³³ Some of the company drewe forth Alexander, the Iewes thrusting hym forwardes. Alexander beckened with the hand, & would haue geuen the people an aunswere.

⁴ in the name of oure Lord Iesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, in my spyryte, wyth the power of the Lorde Iesus Christe, ⁵ be delyuered vnto Sathan, for the destruccion of the fleshe, that the spirite maye be saued in the daye of the Lorde Iesus.

³² But when we are iudged of the Lorde, we are chastened, because we shoulde not be dampued wyth the worlde.

⁶ and are redye to take vengeaunce on all disobedience, when youre obedience is fulfylled.

¹⁰ Therfore wryte I these thinges beynge absente, leste when I am presente I shoulde vse sharpenesse accordynge to the power whiche the Lorde hath geuen me, to edifye, and not to destroye.

¹⁵ And counte hym not as an enemy, but warne hym as a brother.

¹⁴ Of these thynges put them in remembraunce, and testifye before the Lorde, that they stryue not aboute wordes: which is to no profyte, but to peruerte the hearers.

¹⁷ and theyr wordes shall frete euen as doeth a cancre: of whose number is Himeneos & Phyletos:

² For the men shall be louers of theyr owne selues coueteous, bosters, proude, cursed speakers, dysobedyent to father and mother, vnthankefull, vnholye,

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmyth dyd me muche euyll, the Lorde rewarde him, according to hys dedes, ¹⁵ of whom be thou ware also. For he wythstode our preachyng sore.

¹⁹ As manye as I loue, I rebuke and chastes. Be feruent therfore and repente.

¹ And I sawe a beaste ryse out of the sea, hauyng .vij. heades, and .x. hornes, and vpon his hornes ten crounes, and vpon his heade the name of blasphemye.

⁵ And there was mouth geuen vnto hym, that spake greate thinges and blasphemies, and power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlij. monethes. ⁶ And he opened hys mouth vnto blasphemy agaynste God, to blaspheme hys name, and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heauen.
