⁵ After that thou shalt come to the hyll of God, where the Philistines kepe theyr watche. And when thou art come thyther to that cytye, thou shalt mete a companye of Prophetes comyng doune from the hyll, with a psalter, a tymbrell, a pype, and an harp before them & they prophesying.

²⁰ And MirIam a Prophetisse the syster of Aaron toke a tymbrell in her hand, & all the woman came out after her with tymbrels in a daunse. ²¹ And MirIam sange before them: Synge ye vnto the Lord, for he is become glorious in deade: the horsse and his ryder hath he ouerthrowne in the sea.

¹² And the maydens answered them: yee: beholde, he goeth before you. Make hast nowe, for he came thys day to the cytie, for the people must offer thys day in the hil.

¹⁰ When thei came to the hyll, beholde, the company of prophetes met him, & the sprite of God came vpon him, & he prophesyed among them.

³ And Ionathas slue the Philistines in an holde they had in Gabaah, & it came to the Philistines eares. And Saul caused the trompet to be blowen thorow out all the lande, saying: let the Ebrewes heare.

²⁰ then Saul sent messengers to fet Dauid. And when they sawe a companye of prophetes prophesying & Samuel standing fast by them, the spyrit of God fel vpon the messengers of Saul, and they prophesyed to.

³ the children of the prophetes that were at Bethel, came out to Elizeus, & sayd to him: knowest thou not how that the Lord wil take away thy maister from the this day? And he said: I know it to: holde youre peace.

⁵ And the chyldren of the prophetes that were at Iericho came to Eliseus, and sayd vnto him: art thou not ware, that the Lorde will take away thy mayster from the this day? And he answered: I know it also, holde your peace.

¹⁵ And the chyldren of the Prophetes of Iericho, which saw him from a farre, sayde: the spyryte of Eliah doeth rest on Elizeus, and went against him, and bowed to the earth vnto him.

¹⁵ But now bryng my a mynstrel. And as the mynstrel played, the hand of the Lord was vpon him.

³⁸ When Elizeus was come to Galgal agayne, there was a darth in the lande, & the chyldren of the prophetes dwelt with him. Then he sayde to his seruaunt, put on a great pot, and make pottage for the chyldren of the prophetes.

¹ Then sayde the chyldren of the prophetes vnto Helizeus: se, the place where we dwelle with the, is to lytle for vs.

⁸ And Dauid & all Israel played before God with all theyr myght, with syngyng, harpes, psalteries, tymbrelles and trompettes.

¹⁹ Heman, Asah and Ethan sange with symbales of brasse to make a sound. ²⁰ And Zachariah, Oziel, Semiramoth, Iehiel, Ani, Eliab, Maasaiah and Bananiah sang with psalteris on an Almoth. ²¹ And Mathathiah, Eliphelehu, Makeniah, Obed Edom, Ieiel, and Ozaziah sange with harpes and eight aboue the courage with all.

²⁷ And Dauid had on him an albe of bysse, & so had the Leuites that bare the Arcke, and so had the syngers, and Conaniah the ruler of the songe & of the syngers. And Dauid had moreouer vpon him an Ephod of lynen. ²⁸ And al Israel brought the Arcke of the Lordes couenaunt wyth shoutynge and blowynge of hornes, & with trompettes and symbales that sounded, and wyth psalteries and harpes.

⁵ euen Asaph the chefe, and next to him Zachariah then Ieiel, Semiramoth, Iehiel, Mathathiah, Eliab, Banaiah, Obed Edom, and Ieiel with Psalteries & Harpes. But Asaph wyth soundynge symbales

⁴² And wyth the sayde Heman and Iduthun were trompettes & soundyng simbales, & instrumentes of the melody of God. And the sonnes of Iduthun were porters.

¹ And Dauid and the captaines of the hoste appoynted out to do seruice, the sonnes of Asaph of Heman and Iduthun, whiche dyd prophesie with harpes psalteries & symbales: & the multytude of them were men to do seruyce in their offices. ² The sonnes of Asaph: Zaur, Ioseph, Nathaniah, Aserealah, to wayte on Asaph, whyche prophesyed by the kynge. ³ The sonnes of Iduthun: Godoliah, Zuri, Isaiah, Rasabiah and Mathathiah, Semei, syxe, at the handes of their fathers Iduthun wyth harpes: which Iduthun prophesyed for to thanke and prayse the Lord. ⁴ The sonnes of Heman: Bokiahu, Mathaniah, Vziel, Zubuell, Ierimoth, Hananiah, Hanam, Eliathat, Gedalthi, Romanthi Ezer, Iesbokasah, Malothi, Hothir and Mahazioth. ⁵ All these were the sonnes of Heman the kynges Sear of vysions with the worde of God, to lyfte vp the horne. God gaue to Heman .xiiij. sonnes, and thre doughters. ⁶ All these were at the hande of their father to synge in the house of the lord with symbales, psalteries, and harpes in the seruyce of the house of God. And at the hand of the king was Asaph, Iduthun and Heman.

²⁵ And they set the Leuites in the house of the Lorde with symbales, psalteries and harpes accordynge to the commaundement of Dauid & of Gad the kynges sear of visions & of Nathan the prophete. For so was the coumaundement of the Lorde thorow the hande of his prophetes. ²⁶ And so the Leuites stode with the instrumentes of Dauid, & the preastes with trompettes. ²⁷ And Hezekiah commaunded to offer the burntofferyng vpon the aulter. And when the burntofferyng beganne, the songe of the Lorde beganne, & the trompettes with the instrumentes of Dauid kynge of Israel.

⁴ I will enclyne myne eare to the parable, and shewe my darke speach vpon the harpe.

³ Prayse hym in the sounde of the trompet, prayse hym vpon the lute and harpe. ⁴ Prayse hym in the cymbales and daunse prayse hym vpon the strynges and pype. ⁵ Prayse hym vpon the weltuned cymbals prayse him vpon the loude cymbales. ⁶ Let euery thing that hath breth, prayse the Lorde. Prayse the euerlastynge.

¹ Laboure for loue, and couete spyrytuall gyftes: and moste chiefely for to prophecye.
