¹⁰ He that loueth his brother, abideth in the lyghte, and there is none occasion of euill in him.

³ Then shall we haue vnderstanding, and endeuoure oure selues to knowe the Lorde. He shall go forth as the springe of the daye, & come vnto vs as the eueninge and morninge rayne vpon the earth.

²¹ yet hath he no rootes in hym selfe, and therefore dureth but a season. For assone as tribulation or persecucion ariseth because of the word, by and by he falleth.

⁷ Wo be vnto the worlde because of offences. Howe be it, it cannot be auoyded but that offences shall be geuen. Neuerthelesse woo be to the man, by whome the offence cometh.

¹ Then sayde he to the disciples, it cannot be auoyded but that offences will come. Neuerthelesse wo be to hym: through whome they come. ² It were better for him that a mylstone were hanged about his necke. and that he were cast into the sea, then that he shoulde offende one of these litelons.

³¹ Yf ye continue in my wordes: then are ye my very discyples,

³² And wherfore? Because they sought it not by fayth: but as it were by the workes of the lawe. For they haue stombled at the stomblynge stone. ³³ As it is wrytten. Beholde I put in Syon a stomblyng stone, and a rocke which shall make men faule. And none that beleue on hym, shalbe a shamed.

¹³ Let vs not therfore iudge one another anye more. But iudge thys rather, that no man put a stumblynge blocke or an occasyon to falle in hys brothers waye.

¹⁰ that ye myght accepte thinges moste excellent, that ye might be pure and such as should hurte no mannes conscience, vntyll the daye of Christe,

¹⁰ Wherfore brethren, geue the more diligence for to make your callinge and eleccion sure. For if ye do suche thinges, ye shal neuer erre.

¹⁴ We know that we are translated from death vnto lyfe, because we loue the brethren. He that loueth not his brother, abydeth in death.
