³⁰ hence it is, that many are weak and sickly among you, and no small number now sleep in their graves.

⁶ after that, he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once: of whom the greater part remain alive to this day, but some are now dead.

¹⁸ then they too who died christians, are entirely lost.

²⁰ But Christ is actually risen, as previous to those who were dead.

⁵¹ I shall now tell you a very great secret: we shall not all of us sleep, but we shall all be changed,

¹³ Now I would not have you, my brethren, be mistaken about the state of the dead, lest you should be as greatly afflicted as those, who have no hope. ¹⁴ for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we must believe that God by Jesus will raise the dead, and assemble them with him.

¹⁰ that whether we happen to be alive or dead, we may be secure of living with him.
