4 John, to the seven congregations in Asia. Grace be with you and peace, from him which is and which was, and which is to come: and from the seven spirits which are present before his throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ which is a faithful witness, and first begotten of the dead: and Lord over the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 and made us kings and priests unto God his father, be glory, and dominion for evermore amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds, and all eyes shall see him: and they also which pierced him. And all kindreds of the earth shall wail. Even so, amen.

9 John, your brother and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience which is in Jesus Christ, was in the isle of Patmos for the word of God, and for the witnessing of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the spirit on a Sunday, and heard behind me a great voice, as it had been of a trumpet,
11 saying, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. That thou seest, write in a book and send it unto the congregations which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."
12 And I turned back to see the voice that spake to me. And when I was turned: I saw seven golden candlesticks.
13 And in the midst of the candlesticks, one like unto the son of man clothed with a linen garment down to the ground, and gird about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white, as white wool, and as snow: and his eyes were as a flame of fire:
15 and his feet like unto brass, as though they burnt in a furnace: and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword. And his face shone even as the sun in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet, even as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, "Fear not. I am the first and the last,
18 and am alive, and was dead. And behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write therefore the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be fulfilled hereafter;
20 and the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the messengers of the seven congregations: And the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven congregations.

John 18:37
37 Pilate said unto him, "Art thou a King then?" Jesus answered, "Thou sayest that I am a King. For this cause was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. And all that are of the truth hear my voice."

26 And after eight days again, his disciples were within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus then came when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst and said, "Peace be with you."

20 Peter turned about, and saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, "Lord which is he that shall betray thee?"

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up: and a cloud received him up out of their sight.
10 And while they looked steadfastly up to heaven, as he went; behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
11 which also said, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, even as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Acts 10:10-33
10 Then waxed he a hungered, and would have eaten. But while they made ready for him, he fell into a trance,
11 and saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel come down unto him, as it had been a great sheet, knit at the four corners, and was let down to the earth,
12 wherein were all manner of four footed beasts of the earth and vermin and worms, and fouls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, "Rise, Peter. Kill and eat."
14 But Peter said, "God forbid Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean."
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, "What God hath cleansed that make thou not common."
16 This was done thrice; And the vessel was received up again into heaven.
17 While Peter mused in himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold: the men which were sent from Cornelius, had made inquirance for Simon's house, and stood before the door.
18 And called out one and asked whether Simon, which was also called Peter, were lodged there.
19 While Peter thought on this vision, the spirit said unto him, "Behold, men seek thee: arise therefore, get thee down,
20 and go with them, and doubt not. For I have sent them."
21 Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius, and said, "Behold, I am he, whom ye seek, what is the cause wherefore ye are come?"
22 And they said unto him, "Cornelius the captain, a just man and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the people of the Jews, was warned by a holy angel, to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee."
23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24 And the third day entered they into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen, and special friends.
25 And as it chanced Peter to come in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26 But Peter took him up, saying, "Stand Up: for even I myself am a man."
27 And as he talked with him, he came in, and found many that were come together.
28 And he said unto them, "Ye do know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to company or come unto an alien: But God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean:
29 therefore came I unto you without saying nay, as soon as I was sent for. I ask therefore: for what intent have ye sent for me?"
30 And Cornelius said, "This day now four days I fasted, and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31 and said, 'Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms deeds are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call for Simon, which is also called Peter. He is lodged in the house of one Simon, a tanner, by the seaside: the which as soon as he is come, shall speak unto thee.'
33 Then sent I for thee immediately, and thou hast well done for to come. Now are we all here, present before God to hear all things that are commanded unto thee of God."

22 and strengthened the disciples souls: exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 18:19-21
19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the Synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

21 but bade them fare well saying, "I must needs, at this feast that cometh, be in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you if God will."
Acts 18:24
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria came to Ephesus: an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures.
Acts 19:1-41
1 It fortuned, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul passed through the upper coasts, and came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples
2 and said unto them, "Have ye received the holy ghost since ye believed?" And they said unto him, "No. We have not heard whether there be any holy ghost or no."
3 And he said unto them, "Wherewith were ye then baptised?" And they said, "With John's baptism."
4 Then said Paul, "John verily baptised with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him, which should come after him. That is on Christ Jesus."
5 When they heard that, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And Paul laid his hands upon them: and the holy ghost came on them, and they spake with tongues and prophesied;
7 and all the men were about twelve.
8 And he went into the synagogue, and behaved himself boldly for the space of three months: disputing, and giving them exhortations of the kingdom of God.
9 When divers waxed hard hearted, and believed not, but spake evil of the way of the Lord, and that before the multitude: he departed from them; And separated the disciples away; And disputed daily in the school of one called Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years: So that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Acts 19:10-41
10 And this continued by the space of two years: So that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
11 And God wrought not small miracles by the hands of Paul.
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick, napkins or partlets, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus saying, "We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth."
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew and chief of the priests, which did so:
15 and the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know: but who are ye?"
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was, ran on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also, which dwelt at Ephesus, and fear came on them all. And they magnified the name of the Lord Jesus.
18 And many that believed came, and confessed and showed their works.
19 Many of them which used curious crafts, brought their books and burned them before all men, and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand silverlings.
20 So mightily grew the word of God, and prevailed.
21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, to pass over Macedonia and Achaia, and to go to Jerusalem, saying, "After I have been there I must also see Rome."
22 So sent he into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him: Timothy and Erastus: but he himself remained in Asia for a season.
23 The same time there arose no little ado about that way.
24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith which made silver shrines for Diana, was not a little beneficial unto the craftsmen:
25 which he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, "Sirs ye know that by this craft we have vantage.
26 Moreover, ye see and hear that not alone at Ephesus: but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be not gods which are made with hands:
27 so that not only this our craft cometh into peril to be set at nought: but that also the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised. And her magnificence should be destroyed, which all Asia, and the world worshippeth."
28 When they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out saying, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians."
29 And all the city was on a roar, and they rushed into the common hall with one assent, and caught Gaius, and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions.
30 When Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.
31 Certain also of the chief of Asia which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not press into the common hall.
32 Some cried one thing, and some another and the congregation was all out of quiet, and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
33 Some of the company drew forth Alexander, the Jews thrusting him forwards. Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have given the people an answer.
34 When they knew that he was a Jew, there arose a shout almost for the space of two hours of all men crying, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians."
35 When the town clerk had ceased the people he said, "Ye men of Ephesus: what man is it that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which came from heaven?
36 Seeing then that no man saith here against, ye ought to be content, and to do nothing rashly;
37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet despisers of your goddess.
38 Wherefore if Demetrius and the craftsmen which are with him, have any saying to any man: the law is open, and there are rulers. Let them accuse one another.
39 If ye go about any other thing, it may be determined in a lawful congregation.
40 For we are in jeopardy to be accused of this day's business: forasmuch as there is no cause whereby we may give a reckoning of this concourse of people."
41 And when he had thus spoken, he let the congregation depart.
Acts 20:7
7 And on the morrow after the Sabbath day the disciples came together for to break bread, and Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued the preaching unto midnight.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13
9 Me thinketh that God hath set forth us, which are apostles, for the lowest of all: as it were, men appointed to death. For we are a gazingstock unto the world, and to the angels, and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, and ye are wise through Christ: we are weak, and ye are strong. Ye are honorable, and we are despised.
11 Even unto this day we hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted with fists, and have no certain dwelling place,
12 and labour working with our own hands. We are reviled, and yet we bless. We are persecuted, and suffer it.
13 We are evil spoken of, and we pray. We are made as it were the filthiness of the world, the offscouring of all things, even unto this time.

6 And there are divers manners of operations, and yet but one God, which worketh all things that are wrought in all creatures.
7 The gifts of the spirit are given to every man to profit the congregation.
8 To one is given, through the spirit, the utterance of wisdom; to another is given the utterance of knowledge by the same spirit;
9 to another is given faith, by the same spirit; to another the gifts of healing, by the same spirit;
10 to another, power to do miracles; to another prophecy; to another, judgment of spirits; to another divers tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of one body though they be many, yet are but one body: even so is Christ.

4 how that he was taken up into paradise, and heard words not to be spoken, which no man can utter.
