¹⁴ I can give counsel, and be a guide: I have understanding, I have strength.

⁶ For it is the LORD that giveth wisdom, out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He preserveth the welfare of the righteous, and defendeth them that walk innocently;

⁵ A wise man is strong; yea, a man of understanding is better than he that is mighty of strength.

¹⁹ Wisdom giveth more courage unto the wise, than ten mighty men of the city.

¹⁶ Then said I, "Wisdom is better than strength." Nevertheless, a simple man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. ¹⁷ A wise man's counsel that is followed in silence, is far above the crying of a captain among fools. ¹⁸ For wisdom is better than harness: but one unthrifty alone destroyeth much good.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, and unto us a son is given. Upon his shoulders shall the kingdom lie, and he shall be called with his own name, "Wonderful, the giver of counsel, the mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of peace."

¹⁴ At whom hath he asked counsel, to make him understand, and to learn him the way of judgment: to teach him science: and to instruct him in the way of understanding?

⁹ That was a true light, which lighteneth all men that come into the world.

²² When they counted themselves wise, they became fools

³³ O the deepness of the abundant wisdom and knowledge of God: how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out. ³⁴ For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who was his counselor?

²⁴ But unto them which are called, both of Jews and Greeks, we preach Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

³⁰ And unto him pertain ye, in Christ Jesus, which of God is made unto us wisdom, and also righteousness, and sanctifying, and redemption.
