²⁹ Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord God is One Lord.

⁴ Hear, O Israel, the LORD thy God is one LORD only.

¹² And now, Israel, what is it that the LORD thy God requireth of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God and to walk in all his ways and to love him and to serve the LORD thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul,

⁶ And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart and the heart of thy seed for to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart and all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

²⁶ My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes have pleasure in my ways.

³⁷ He that loveth his father or mother more than me, is not meet for me: and he that loveth his son or daughter more than me, is not meet for me.

⁹ And call ye no man your father upon the earth, for there is but one, your father, and he is in heaven.

³² And the scribe said unto him, "Well master, thou hast said the truth, that there is one God, and that there is none but he. ³³ And to love him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the soul, and with all the strength. And to love a man's neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

²⁷ And he answered and said, "Thou shalt love thy Lord God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind: and thy neighbor as thyself."

³⁰ For it is God only which justifieth circumcision, which is of faith: and uncircumcision through faith.

⁴ To speak of meat dedicated unto idols, we are sure that there is none idol in the world: and that there is none other God but one.

²⁰ A mediator is not a mediator of one. But God is one.

⁵ For the end of the commandment is love that cometh of a pure heart and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

⁵ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, which is the man Christ Jesus,

¹⁹ Believest thou that there is one God? Thou doest well. The devils also believe and tremble.
