⁹ Thou hast sent widows away empty and oppressed the poor fatherless.

²¹ Vex not a stranger, neither oppress him, for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. ²² Ye shall trouble no widow nor fatherless child: ²³ If ye shall trouble them, they shall cry unto me, and I will surely hear their cry; ²⁴ and then will my wrath wax hot and I will kill you with sword, and your wives shall be widows and your children fatherless.

¹⁵ Break thou the power of the ungodly and malicious; search out the wickedness which he hath done, that he may perish.

¹⁷ For the arms of the ungodly shall be broken, and the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

⁶ They murder the widow and the stranger, and put the fatherless to death.

¹⁷ Study to do righteously, and help the oppressed. Avenge the fatherless and defend the cause of widows. Come, let us show each his grief to other and make an atonement, saith the LORD.

²³ Thy princes are traitors and companions of thieves. They love gifts altogether, and gape for rewards. As for the fatherless, they help him not to his right, neither will they let the widows causes come before them.

² wherethrough the poor are oppressed on every side, and the innocents of my people are therewith robbed of judgment: that widows may be your prey, and that ye may rob the fatherless.

⁷ In thee have they despised father and mother, in thee have they oppressed the stranger, in thee have they vexed the widow and the fatherless.

²² Therefore, thus sayeth the LORD God: Behold, I will upon Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and bruise his strong arm - yet is it but a broken one - and will smite the sword out of his hand.

⁵ I will come and punish you, and I myself will be a swift witness against the witches, against the adulterers, against false swearers: yea, and against those that wrongfully keep back the hireling's duty, which vex the widows and the fatherless, and oppress the stranger, and fear not me, sayeth the LORD of Hosts.

³ And there was a certain widow in the same city, which came unto him saying, 'Avenge me of mine adversary.' ⁴ And he would not for a while. But afterward he said unto himself, 'Though I fear not God, nor care for man, ⁵ yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her: lest at the last she come, and hag on me.'"
