⁵ And now saith the LORD that formed me in the womb, to be his servant and to turn Jacob unto him,

¹ {A Psalm of David} The LORD said unto my LORD, "Sit thou on my righthand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." ² The LORD shall send the rod of thy power out of Zion; be thou ruler, even in the midst among thine enemies. ³ In the day of thy power shall thy people offer thee free-will offerings with a holy worship; the dew of thy birth is of the womb of the morning.

¹² And he shall set up a token among the Gentiles, and gather together the dispersed of Israel; yea, and the outcasts of Judah from the four corners of the world.

² Behold, God is my salvation: I will be bold therefore and not fear. For the LORD God is my strength and my praise whereof I sing: and is become my saviour.

⁴ because thou wast dear in my sight, and because I set by thee, and loved thee. I will give over all men for thee, and deliver up all people for thy sake.

¹ Hearken ye isles unto me, and give heed ye people that are afar. The LORD called me out of the womb and made mention of my name, when I was in my mother's bowels.

⁴ The LORD God hath given me a well learned tongue, so that I can comfort them which are troubled; yea, and that in due season. He waked mine ear up betimes in the morning, as schoolmasters do; that I might hark.

¹³ Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, therefore shall he be magnified, exalted and greatly honored.

⁸ Thus sayeth the LORD God which gathereth together the scattered of Israel: I will bring yet another congregation to him.

¹⁷ And, lo, there came a voice from heaven, saying, "This is that, my beloved son, in whom is my delight."

²⁷ All things are given unto me of my father: And no man knoweth the son, but the father; neither knoweth any man the father, save the son, and he to whom the son will open him.

²⁴ He answered, and said, "I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

⁵ While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud shadowed them. And behold, there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is my dear son, in whom I delight; hear him."

³⁷ But last of all, he sent unto them his own son, saying, 'They will fear my son.' ³⁸ But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir: come on, let us kill him, and let us take his inheritance, to ourselves.' ³⁹ And they caught him, and thrust him out of the vineyard, and slew him. ⁴⁰ When the Lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do with those husbandmen?" ⁴¹ They said unto him, He will cruelly destroy those evil persons; and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall deliver him the fruit at times convenient.

³⁷ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest prophets, and stonest them which are sent to thee: how often would I have gathered thy children together, as the hen gathereth her chicks under her wings? But ye would not.

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven, and in earth.

⁴² saying, "If thou hadst known those things which belong unto thy peace, even at thy time: But now are they hid from thine eyes.

³⁵ The father loveth the son, and hath given all things into his hand.

²⁰ For the father loveth the son, and showeth him all things, whatsoever he himself doeth. And he will show him greater works than these, because ye should marvel. ²¹ For likewise, as the father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them, even so the son quickeneth whom he will. ²² Neither judgeth the father any man: but hath committed all judgment unto the son, ²³ because that all men should honour the son, even as they honour the father. He that honoureth not the son, the same honoureth not the father which hath sent him. ²⁴ Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my words, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life: and shall not come into damnation, but is escaped from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily, verily I say unto you, the time shall come, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God. And they that hear, shall live. ²⁶ For as the father hath life in himself, so likewise hath he given to the son to have life in himself. ²⁷ And hath given him power also to judge in that he is the son of man.

³⁶ Ye know the preaching that God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, which is Lord over all things;

⁸ And I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and set him on his righthand in heavenly things, ²¹ above all rule, power, and might, and domination, and above all names that are named, not in this world only, but also in the world to come. ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and hath made him above all things, the head of the congregation:

¹⁵ which as they killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, even so have they persecuted us, and God they please not, and are contrary to all men: ¹⁶ and forbid us to preach unto the gentiles, that they might be saved, to fulfill their sins always: For the wrath of God is come on them, even to the utmost.

²² which is our righthand of God, and is gone into heaven: angels, power, and might subdued unto him.
