² LORD be merciful unto us, we wait for thee. Thine arm is at a point to visit us, but be thou our health in the time of trouble.

²⁷ Then stretched forth Moses his hand over the sea, and it came again to his course early in the morning, and the Egyptians fled against it. Thus the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea,

³ For all they that hope in thee shall not be ashamed; but such as transgress without a cause shall be put to confusion.

¹³ I should utterly have fainted, but that I believe verily to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. ¹⁴ O tarry thou the LORD's leisure. Be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the LORD.

³⁹ But the salvation of the righteous cometh of the LORD, who is also their strength in the time of trouble.

¹¹ O be thou our help in trouble, for vain is the help of man.

¹⁵ Comfort us again, now after the time that thou hast plagued us, and for the years wherein we have suffered adversity.

⁸ O let me hear thy loving-kindness betimes in the morning; for in thee is my trust. Show thou me the way that I should walk in; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

⁴ For thou art the poor man's help, and strength for the needful in his necessity. Thou art a defense against evil weather and a shadow against the heat, when the blast of the raging men is like a storm that casteth down a wall.

⁹ In that day shall it be said, "Lo, this is our God: we have waited for him, and he shall save us. This is the LORD in whom we have hoped: Let us rejoice, and delight in his salvation.

⁸ Therefore, LORD, we have a respect unto the way of thy judgments; thy name and thy remembrance rejoice the soul.

¹⁶ Lord, in trouble have they visited thee; they poured out their prayer while thy chastening was upon them.

¹⁸ Yet standeth the LORD waiting, that he may have mercy upon you, and lifteth himself up, that he may receive you to grace. For the LORD God is righteous. Happy are all they that wait for him. ¹⁹ For thus, O thou people of Zion and ye citizens of Jerusalem, shall ye never be in heaviness; for doubtless he will have mercy upon thee. As soon as he heareth the voice of thy cry, he will help thee.

¹⁰ Behold the LORD, even the Almighty, shall come with power, and bear rule with his arm. Behold, he bringeth his treasure with him, and his works go before him.

¹⁶ He saw also, that there was no man which had pity thereof, or was grieved at it. And he held him by his own power, and cleaved to his own righteousness.

²⁷ For they say to a stock, 'Thou art my father,' and to a stone, 'Thou hast begotten me.' Yea, they have turned their back upon me, and not their face. But in the time of their trouble, when they say, 'Stand up and help us!' ²⁸ I shall answer them: Where are now thy gods, that thou hast made thee? Bid them stand up, and help thee in the time of need! For look how many cities thou hast, O Judah: so many gods hast thou also.

⁸ For thou art the comfort and help of Israel in the time of trouble. Why wilt thou be as a stranger in the Land, and as one that goeth over the field, and cometh in only to remain for a night?

²³ His faithfulness is great and reneweth itself as the morning.

²⁵ {Tet} O how good is the LORD unto them that put their trust in him, and to the soul that seeketh after him? ²⁶ O how good is it, with stillness, to wait and tarry for the health of the LORD?

² Take words with you and turn unto the Lord. And say unto him, "Remit all wickedness and given things, and we will pay thee openly

³ Blessed be God the father of our Lord Jesus the Christ, father of mercy, and the God of all comfort, ⁴ which comforteth us in all our tribulation, insomuch that we are able to comfort them which are troubled, in whatsoever tribulation it be, with the same comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
