⁶ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see to it that you are not afraid. Such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷ But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars do not be dismayed, such things must come, but the end is not yet. ⁸ For nation shall rise in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines; these are the beginning of birth-pangs.

¹⁴ But even if you should suffer in behalf of righteousness, you are happy. Do not be afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. ¹⁵ But consecrate Christ in your hearts, as Lord. Be always in readiness to make and answer to any one who asks you a reason for the hope that is within you, yet with gentleness and reverence.
