⁵ Sing praises to Jehovah with the harp. With the harp and the voice of melody,

¹⁶ And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding-aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

¹ Moreover David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries and with cymbals. And the number of those who did the work according to their service was:
² Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur and Joseph and Nethaniah and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.
³ Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah and Zeri and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Jehovah.
⁴ Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth. ⁵ All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
⁶ All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman being under the order of the king.

²⁵ And he set the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with psalteries and with harps, according to the commandment of David and of Gad the king's seer and Nathan the prophet. For the commandment was of Jehovah by his prophets.

² Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp. Sing praises to him with the psaltery of ten strings.

³ with an instrument of ten strings and with the psaltery, with a meditation resounding upon the harp.
⁴ Because you, Jehovah, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.

³ For Jehovah has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places and has made her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of Jehovah. Joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

⁸ And when he took the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down in the Lamb’s sight, each one having a harp and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the holy-ones.

² And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters and like the voice of great thunder. And the voice which I heard was like that of harpists harping with their harps. ³ And they are singing a new song in the sight of the throne and in the sight the four living creatures and the elders and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought out of the earth.
