³ Now when he sat upon the Mountain of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your presence and of the end of the world?

⁶ And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long will it be to the end of these wonders?
⁷ And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven and swore by him who lives everlasting that it will be for a time, times and a half. And when they have made an end of smashing the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.
⁸ And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, O my lord, what will be the outcome of these things?

¹⁰ And the disciples came and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables?
¹¹ But he answered and said to them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but it has not given to those men.

³⁶ Then Jesus, having left the crowds, went into the house and his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnels of the field.

³⁹ and the enemy that sowed them is the devil and the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are messengers. ⁴⁰ Therefore, just-like the darnels is collected and burned in fire; so it will be in the end of this world.

⁴⁹ So it will be in the end of the world; the messengers will be going out and separate the evil from the midst of the righteous,

¹² Then the disciples came to him and said, Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this speech?

¹⁹ Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, Why were we not able to cast it out?

¹ And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, toward the Mountain of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples,

²⁷ For just-like the lightning comes from the east and appears even to the west; so also will be the presence of the Son of Man.

³² Now learn from the fig tree its parable: whenever its branch has already become tender and its leaves spring forth, you know that the summer is near; ³³ so also you, whenever you behold all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

³⁷ But just-as the days of Noah were, so will the presence of the Son of Man also be.

³⁹ and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away; so the presence of the Son of Man will also be.

⁴³ But know this, that if the master of the house knew in what watch the thief is coming, he would have watched and would have not permitted his house roof to be burrowed through.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, as many things as I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the earth.
Amen.

³ And while he is sitting upon the Mountain of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, ⁴ Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign whenever all these things are about to be completed?

⁷ Now they asked him, saying, Therefore teacher, when will these things be? And what will be the sign whenever these things are about to happen?

²¹ Peter seeing this one says to Jesus, Lord and what about this one?
²² Jesus says to him, If I will for him to abide until I come, what is that to you? You, follow me!

⁷ Now he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in his own authority.

¹ Now brethren, you have no need for anything to be written to you concerning the times and the seasons. ² For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord so comes like a thief in the night. ³ For whenever they are saying, Peace and security; then sudden utter-destruction stands by them, just-like the travail a woman has in her womb, and they may never flee away from it. ⁴ But brethren, you are not in darkness, in order that the day might overtake you like a thief. ⁵ You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness; ⁶ Therefore consequently, we should not sleep, like the rest also do, but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who are sleeping, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night. ⁸ But we, being of the day, should be sober; having clothed yourselves with the breastplate of faith and love, and a helmet-- the hope of salvation. ⁹ Because God appointed us not for wrath, but for the acquisition of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁰ who died on our behalf, in order that, whether we should watch or sleep, we should live together with him at the same time. ¹¹ Hence, encourage one another and build up one by one, just-as you are also practicing.

²⁶ since often it was essential for him to suffer from the conception of the world, but now once for all upon the end of the ages, he has been manifested for the nullifying of sin through the sacrifice of himself.
