²⁶ And God said, Let Us make man in our image–after our likeness–and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

²² And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil and now, lest he put forth his hand and also take of the tree of life and eat and live everlasting–

¹ This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God,

² And the fear of you* and the dread of you* will be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, with all that creeps on the ground and all the fishes of the sea. They are delivered into your* hand. ³ Every moving thing that lives will be food for you*. As the green herb, I have given you* all. ⁴ But you* will not eat flesh in its life, that is its blood.

⁶ Whoever sheds man's blood, his blood will be shed by man. For in the image of God he made man.

⁷ Come, let Us go down there and confound their language, that they may not understand each other's speech.

²³ For you will be in league with the stones of the field and the beasts of the field will be at peace with you.

¹⁰ But none says, Where is God my maker who gives songs in the night,

⁴ what is man that you remember him? And the son of man that you care for him? ⁵ Yet you have made him but a little lower than messengers and crowned him with glory and honor.
⁶ You make him to have dominion over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet. ⁷ All sheep and oxen, yes and the beasts of the field, ⁸ the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

³ Know that Jehovah, he is God. It is he who has made us and we are his. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

²⁰ You make darkness and it is night, during which all the beasts of the forest creep forth.
²¹ The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God. ²² The sun arises; they get away and lie down in their dens.
²³ Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening.
²⁴ O Jehovah, how great are your works! You have made them all in wisdom. The earth is full of your riches.

² Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

²⁹ Behold, this only I have found: That God made man upright, but they have sought out many devices.

⁸ And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, Behold, send me.

⁸ But now, O Jehovah, you are our Father. We are the clay and you our potter and we are all the work of your hand.

⁶ And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. And the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father is working until now, and I am working.

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves me, he will be keeping my word and my Father will love him, and we will be coming to him and we will be making our abode with him.

²⁰ For you are bringing some surprising things to our ears. Therefore, we plan to know what these things might wish to be.

²⁶ And he made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons and the borders of their residence;

²⁸ For we live and move and are in him; as some also, according to your own poets, have said, For we are also his offspring.
²⁹ Therefore being the offspring of God, we ought not to suppose that God is similar to gold or silver or stone, or a carved thing from a craft and the contemplation of man.

⁷ For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, being that he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of the man.

¹⁸ But we all, with our face having been unveiled, seeing the reflection of the glory of the Lord for ourselves, are being transfigured into the same image from glory into glory, just-as from the Lord, the Spirit.

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the illumination of the good-news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn for them.

²⁴ and to have clothed yourselves with the new man, who was created according to God, in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

¹⁰ and have clothed yourselves with the new man, who is being renewed to the full knowledge according to the image of the one who created him;

⁶ But a certain writer has thoroughly testified somewhere, saying, ‘What is man, that you remember him? Or the son of man, that you visit him? ⁷ You made him a bit of something inferior less than the messengers. You crowned him with glory and honor. But we now do not yet see all things having been subjected to him. ⁹ But we see Jesus who has been made a bit of something inferior, less than the messengers, having been crowned with glory and honor, because of the suffering of the death he underwent, that in the grace from God, he should taste of death on behalf of everyone.

⁷ For every nature of beasts and birds, of reptiles and sea-creatures, is tamed and has been tamed by human nature.

⁹ We are giving-thanks to God and the Father with it and we curse men with it, those who have become according to the likeness of God.
